Today I started going on facebook trying to spread the message of liberty and ron paul to the latin community through TV programs in spanish that have facebook pages, and posting Ron Paul and Pro-Liberty material and challenging people that responded to the post to do their own research then listening to mainstream, not too long after I recieved a notice that I was banned for 15days from posting on walls cause I was spreading SPAM. Legalize Free Speech. Ron Paul 2012

That why I never sign up for any of these social media sites... Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc...

I'm sorry to hear that good people like spreading the message of liberty are being silenced...

Hate to break it to you, but what you were doing was spam. If discussion warrants you can spread the message but if it isnt wanted all it will do is hurt our movement. You can't shove anything down people's throats, wait till there is an opportunity then share what you know.

It sucks that you got temp banned for posting but it is private property and they are free to make the rules as they see fit. I certainly appreciate what you were trying to do but maybe next time just do one at a time or something so it does not look like you are flooding Facebook groups.

We need to be mindful of the difference between spreading the message of liberty and spamming the message of liberty.

freemarkets, private property...however it shows fb sucks and they want to control the information. im surprised i aint banned myself. id like to know which one of your friends reported you.

It's not that he was spamming, it's probably that he was posting too quickly...same thing happens if you start sending friend requests too quickly. I got a warning about two years ago for that. Facebook has limits.

This.

Numerous unwanted posts is spam. I agree that he was probably posting too fast and that is what caused the ban, but that doesn't change the fact that posting stuff that is not relevant at all to discussion is spam.

Wouldn't you think it was spam if someone came here and started posting a bunch of threads about why you should be aware of "global warming"? This is a two way street and we must be weary to not annoy people while spreading the message. If you piss them off, then you lose them immediately.

You simply tripped a red flag with Facebook's application. It monitors everything, so when you do this.. it can detect the patterns automatically.
