Freelance, you need to work for the official Ron Paul campaign. That was a very good post. You might want to think about starting a thread with that post. More people need to hear that message. Never ever give up! Really you can't give up, then you will lose for sure. At least by trying you have a chance at winning.
Thanks for the kind words, Ricky.
The one thing that we had going for us during that particular campaign was that we worked each day like we knew it was an uphill battle THAT WE WOULD EVENTUALLY WIN. We had blinders on. I never remember any of us succumbing to this kind of negativity, and believe me, the conventional wisdom was that we were NOT going to win that campaign, not by a long shot or without a miracle. The press was not nearly as hostile, but back then the press was not out of control as it is today, and we did have the Republican party behind us. Still, Albert Gore was an institution, and "not to be messed with."
We are falling for group think on these forums. We're feeding off of each other's negativity and off of the trolls. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!
Just think what that does to new supporters. Some are just testing the waters here. They most certainly have not listened to or even known about Dr. Paul's positions for years, like many of us.
Our negativity is a turn-off for new supporters. If they come on here and read that Ron Paul's supporters feed that it's all over, what's going to motivate them to get involved and to VOTE?
I'm not saying that we can't offer constructive criticism or call out a mistake, but on the eve of an instrumental vote, please stop and think how you might affect that vote.
