46. Question on: Foreign Policy (Not Iraq)
Why does the only candidate who supports the withdrawl of troops get the most money from troops?

Is a great question.

I voted for that one too!!!

And these too!

53. Question on: Leadership
My question is to CNN and the Moderators of the Debate: Will you show the highest ethical and moral journalism standards in hosting this debate by asking EACH candidate the SAME number of questions and affording EACH candidate the SAME amount of total response time? By doing this, you allow EACH American the opportunity to make an informed and educated decision.

69. Question on: Iraq
John- You have accused Ron Paul of not supporting our troops on multiple occasions. My question to you is this: Ron Paul receives more campaign donations from active duty military personnel than any other candidate- Democrat or Republican. John if you truly support the troops, why is it then that the troops do not support you? Why do the troops give their money to Ron Paul and not to you John McCain?

Guys, the questions are narrowed from this pool into another one which is voted on during the debate itself (so watch and vote during the debate!). Some of the questions are drawn from questions with high vote counts, some by editorial discretion. I received an email from politico.com asking for my name, city, and state in case they decide to ask my question on air. Well that's great, but I submitted 7 questions, all of which were below 2000 at the time. Still, it can't hurt to get them more publicity. These are some pretty hard-hitters, IMHO (and I don't pull a punch with Paul, but I have no doubt he'll answer it with aplomb, grace, and probably bring it back to monetary policy). I'll see if I can find them.

Meh, one of them to John McCain wasn't that hard-hitting. Sue me, it was 3 AM.

By topic, it's currently 2886: Campaign Finance law, which you had a chance to change, set a limit on how much an individual can donate, irrespective of income. How can you then justify taxing people based on income, especially given that the services the federal government provides benefit people equally, not in proportion to income?

Vote 2893 also: Senator McCain, in both of your presidential campaigns (2000 and 2008), you're campaign has gone bankrupt. How can America trust you to balance a budget for 300 million people if you cannot do so for 1 person?

Question on: Foreign Policy (Not Iraq)
The first dramatic growth spurt of the national debt occurred because of the Civil War. The debt was just $65 million in 1860, but passed $1 billion in 1863 and had reached $2.7 billion following the war. The debt slowly fluctuated for the rest of the century, finally growing steadily in the 1910s and early 1920s to roughly $22 billion as the country paid for involvement in World War I. The buildup and involvement in World War II brought the debt up another order of magnitude from $51 billion in 1940 to $260 billion following the war. After this period, the debt's growth closely matched the rate of inflation until the 1980s, when it again began to skyrocket. Between 1980 and 1990, the debt more than tripled. By the end of 2005, the gross debt reached $7.9 trillion, about 8.7 times its 1980 level. Can the US afford another war? Is the amount of debt damaging our national security?

Question on: Iraq
The Constitution of Iraq states Islam is the official religion of the state and is a basic source of legislation: No law can be passed that contradicts the undisputed rules of Islam. If you were a citizen of Iraq would you say that you live in a free country?

Question on: Foreign Policy (Not Iraq)
From the Regan Carter debates 1980 on the subject of Iran MR. REAGAN: The degree of unpopularity of a regime when the choice is total authoritarianism totalitarianism, I should say, in the alternative government, makes one wonder whether you are being helpful to the people. And we've been guilty of that. Because someone didn't meet exactly our standards of human rights, even though they were an ally of ours, instead of trying patiently to persuade them to change their ways, we have, in a number of instances, aided a revolutionary overthrow which results in complete totalitarianism. Is the current US policy towards Pakistan repeating the same mistakes that lead to Islamic theocracy in Iran?

I hope this last one gets used....I'd love for the whole country to know Reagan saw the blowback of our foreign policy

For Ron Paul, number 2244 on the Topic tab (Personal): You have expressed a willingness to amend the Constitution - to end birthright citizenship, to repeal the income tax, etc. You have also expressed opposition to a number of federal programs and even departments on the grounds that they are unconstitutional. Are there any federal programs, perhaps the CDC, for which you would amend the Constitution to make them Constitutional?

For Mitt Romney, number 2009 on the Topic tab (Leadership): What do you believe is the purpose of the 10th Amendment, and do you promise to veto any legislation which violates it?

For John McCain, number 1950 on the Topic tab (Leadership): Given that you were a member of the Keating Five, why should Republican primary voters believe you are electable against any Democrat?

For Rudy Giuliani, number 1462 on the Topic tab (Immigration): You have said that all immigrants and visitors would have a tamper-proof ID card. You have said that this would not be for citizens. How can this possibly work? All an immigrant would have to do to fake being a citizen is to not carry the ID with them. How would an employer or DMV prove they were an immigrant otherwise. Wouldn't this require a national ID card for everyone, not just immigrants to actually work?

For Mike Huckabee, number 1204 on the Topic tab (Health Care): You have put a lot of emphasis on "disease prevention." Now that Iowa is over, will you promise to repeal the sugar tariffs and corn subsidies that have put High Fructose Corn Syrup into nearly everything, a sweetener which is by many accounts very unhealthy as compared to sugar?
