Events on... (discuss date choice for March/Rally in Washington D.C.)

June 21st is a day (a Saturday) that most of us thinks we can attend on for various reasons like no more school, collages, work etc etc.

We also need the time to plan this. Because it's going to be massive. I already see us try too book music artist (examples like: Foo Fighters, Willi Nelson, John Mayer etc) months in advanced. And so much more on top off that. June 21 would give us enought time, but it would still set a goal not to far away into the future that are achievable.

.

April 15th relates to the people we are trying to reach better and keeps the message focused. Even if it only gets a tiny media blurb, it will resonate with the people who hear it.

May 25 will absolutely not work. One of the biggest rallies of the year is already scheduled for that day and I attend it every year. It's the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Rally for POW-MIA soldiers. They draw hundreds of thousands of people to DC the Sunday before Memorial Day.

Now I will say one thing, if we planned our march for this weekend (but not the same day) it might work out well. Most of the POW organizations love Ron Paul and the guy who founded Rolling Thunder has endorsed him. A lot of the people there for that rally would surely show up for a Ron Paul rally the day before.

june 21 st sounds great. week-end, summer, students on vacation, give plenty of time to prepare...

RP will decide ..... but it sounds like May 25- with the help of Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Rally - 600k+

And, there is a Vets against John McCain sweep going through the Rolling Thunder Group that will certainly help the Ron Paul movement.

I'd bet $$ that May 25 is the day.

My only input is that is should be on a day when Congress is in session, and preferably on a weekday to catch all the federal employees in their offices so that they actually see the event with their own eyes, rather than on TV.

look, I will be there whenever 24/7/365

But if you make it on a Wednesday, the reality is that less than HALF of the people who would otherwise attend, will. The point of this march is NUMBERS.

I like April 19 for a lot of reasons. For one, the NC primary is in May. We will have a state primary to guage reaction to the march. If it's in June, we won't really have that.

We still want primaries after the march. So, late May or after is too late. We want it on a weekend, so April 15 is wrong.

Saturday, April 19th, Lexington and Concord day is all around perfect. For tons of reasons.
