Evangelical Leaders Meeting in Texas to Decide Who to Support.. (link)

That's pretty sad.

Ron Paul and Rick Perry are the only Evangelicals running but refuse to support one of their own? Isn't that treason in most religious circles?

As an evangellical, I will be VERY disappointed in the leaders if they support Gingrich. He's an evil person. I hope they take their blinders off and realize that Ron Paul is the most biblically sound person out there.

When you know that the Bankers control the federal government, you know that the Bankers through the federal government use authority figures on a state level to keep the masses in check. When you know that the Bankers through the federal government use local authority figures on a state level to keep the masses in check, you know that extends from the governors to the police right down to the pulpit.

Ron Paul is one that stands in the way of the Bankers, so the Bankers' religious minions are going to do everything to derail that. Ron is thus eliminated from the discussion of their support. Even if it came down to a choice between Ron and Romney - they would choose Romney. So I expect them to pull for Newt if he's still in the race (Santorum, Huntsman, and Perry won't be). And if Newt isn't there, Romney.

Could this be why Ron Paul is in Texas until tomorrow?? Could he be attending this to make a case for himself?? If Doug Wead is there I would imagine he has the pull to at least get them to let ROn Paul make a speech......If there is one thing I know, it's when Ron Paul speaks unadultered and has the opportunity to explain himself & even answer questions that aren't spoken with the goal of trying to discredit him.........Sheep become Shepards

just my thoughts.......but pray that I am correct

When Jesus spoke out against people, he spoke out against the religious leaders of his day.

"Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees..."

Tweet from Dave Weigel:

Tony Perkins wraps Texas meeting of social conservatives for media, says "strong consensus" in the room for Santorum.

That means Grinch loses some support, but Santorum's too far down to catch Ron unless the Grinch really gets hurt by this.

This is better for us anyway - Ron Paul smoked Santorum on the Evangelical vote in Iowa, so no let the fake conservatives pick which one of them drops out, and then Ron Paul will beat whoever is left.

Watched this story last night on ABC Nightly News, and it seemed that this group was leaning towards Gingrich or Romney.

And they weren't electing the "Pastor in Chief" as one of the leaders stated.

Where do they get off trying to tell people how to think or what to believe? Personally I'd be offended if someone said "yeah, we've had a meeting, and we've decided you're all going to vote for xxxx". What are these people, sheep? Hold on a minute... I think some of them actually call themselves that.

Completely twisted.

Totally agree. Rather disgusting to tell the "flock" for whom to vote. Just another kind of slavery for those who comply.

And one of those leaders is Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention. Of course, the only Southern Baptist in the race is Ron Paul. But no...can't have him! Frustrating!

Who authored the infamous so called "Land Letter" urging Bush to attack Iraq and offering their blessing. Things can change drastically but he is not likely to support Ron Paul.

This is what we need if we hope to be able to challenge Romney in Tampa... a third candidate to prevent him from taking outright majorities in large winner-take-all states.

Now, what we need to do is make sure that Frothwick stays in third.

Good, Santorum is a sinking ship, nothing to see there.

Yes, kind of like supporting Huckabee last go around. What will be more significant is who they support when it comes down to Romney and Ron Paul.
