2008 was the pinnacle of our strength. I'm not talking about the delegate scoreboard, or electoral maps, or polls, or any of the conventional measurements of political strength.

I'm talking about the energy, strength, diversity, ingenuity (the blimp!), excitement, and FUN that we had trying to get Ron Paul elected. In my opinion, 2008 is when the movement was at its strongest, and it was a plateau, apparently.

I haven't had fun fighting for liberty since 2008. 2012 was some sort of super-secret delegate strategy something or another which turned out to be a half-assed effort on the official campaign's part. 2016 has been a clusterf*** of epic proportion.

Now, people just won't relax, evidenced by threads like this where we start considering purging people who have been around since 2008 or longer based on their decision for a fall-back candidate when it really doesn't matter because no liberty candidate is gonna win the white house at this point. You guys are taking the fun out of it and making it feel like some g--damned job.

Fun or not the truth is the truth, Trump is not a fall back, he is the same as the others. Liberty takes an irate and tireless minority, the republic you have to work for if you wish to keep it. I don't want to purge people, I want to be on the up and up and not have pointless BS conversations about things that don't even exist.

However we do know that shadow elements Astro turf with a complicated game of 3 or more sides in ordered to befuddle, mislead and shape the issues, so it's entirely possible I or you could be elements in the game. I think the Lew Rockwells look at politics in a wider timeline then you and I. We wanted to stop the country from going into Syria/Iran. They want to change the political will and attitudes of Americans to preserve the most amount of liberty. In the end though the neocons will get what they want and we will be going to Iran.
