Why should they make a list then?

Before the very recent invention of modern, public-sector investigation and prosecution, it was the job of the victim (and/or their family or other interested parties) to bring charges, that is, to name the victims and also the suspects. Modernity is just a very recent and local deviation from what has been the norm throughout human history.

Idk, your guess is as good as mine. I don't see the point in asking the very pedos on the Epstein list for redress of grievances for the crimes they committed. If they were sorry, they would have already locked themselves in prison. Nevertheless, I still respect Massie for at least trying.

I noticed he said "MTG and I are willing to name names", not "MTG and I will name names" - which is a bit weaselly.

Perhaps it's a threat. (The problem with that, though, is that compliance with the threat would imply that names would not be named.)

The way that I read it was that he will name names, provided that the survivors do actually provide him with a list, and that list is found to be credible and worth sharing at all.

It's usually ill-advised to commit to doing such a thing, before being clear on what the thing is you're going to be doing

It could be that, too - and like IM, I am also inclined to trust Massie. As he noted, there are good reasons why the victims at the press conference were not more explicit (and being sued into penury is not the only such reason - it's just the most obvious one).

But I am still cynical and jaded enough (especially with respect to the Epstein stuff) that I won't be the least bit surprised if all of this ultimately goes nowhere.
