Ok, I just got word that Ron Paul will be speaking at the SRLC on saturday. don't have the time yet. The straw poll is also on saturday.

Also, hot off the press, apparently C4L is going to offer tickets to the event at a reduced cost. I was told $30, but only 99% sure.

I'm gathering a crew here or should i say Krewe.

I was told we need at least 500 for a chance. I don't see how that would be a problem.

I'm thinking about contacting Dr. Walter Block and see if he can round up students from Loyola to go. When Ron gave a lecture there, it was beyond full. Thousands of people showed up.

Wish I could be there. I would consider going, but I don't have a car and doubt my room mate(though he is a Ron Paul supporter), would want to drive all the way from Dallas to New Orleans. I will be there in spirit though.

There were over 600 CFL volunteers at CPAC this year. As a reference.

Holy crap, if the $30 thing is true I can definitely swing an extended weekend in NO....(crosses fingers)

Well . . . this could get interesting New Orleans.

Hometown students and grassroots activists . . . LSU - any grassroots student organizations around?

I'm ashamed to say I don't know much about YAL in louisiana, but Tom Rankin told me we have chapters.
any YAL members on the forum?

If someone wants to contact all the liberty-oriented groups in LA/MS listed in my map project, please do - things like this are exactly what I'm putting all the effort into the map for.

(Scroll to the bottom of the list in the left-side frame and select Page 4. Sorry it's not more user-friendly....it will be when I've completed it.)

If anyone needs a ride from the Mississippi Gulf Coast area, PM me.

I think Ron was hesitant in accepting this because it is likely to be a viper den of neoclowns so it is now imperative we pull this off. Time to engage.
