Hey I have suspected for Years that the Health crisis was partly due to colleges keeping a cap on enrollment to keep the supply down. This cap does two things it forces people to buy insurance and it makes doctors extremely wealthy. People have called me a ignorant fool because of what I believe. Now I understand what Paul said when He talked about managed care. I really think the solution to the problem would be to flood the market with doctors meaning open alot more schools which are government owned and controlled and have a cheap education. Now the government could give scholarships to middle class families that pay taxes and make the students sign a contract to work in a charity hospital for 8 years. What do You guys think ... Oh btw here is a article which I saw the other day which backs up what I said ....

This is so totally grassroots.

I really enjoy your idea on how we can help get Ron Paul elected. THis new approach is a novel way to get RP's name out to the masses.

Uhm, sorry, but this sounds very nanny-state to me. The problem isn't necessarily the supply of doctors (remember, in a free-market economy more compensation leads to more people becoming doctors) but rather too much government regulation on the industry.

The real solution is that we need to return to a free-market health care system where there are less regulations (ie, how to buy insurance, treatments, etc). Getting the government involved in training more doctors (at the expense of tax payers) is a step in the wrong direction, sorry.

It's very disheartening when Ron Paul supporters propose central economic planning and expanding the welfare state.

Maybe Ron Paul isn't explaining his message well.

He is explaining the message very well. The problem is most of
the supporters fail to grasp the core message and apply to real
life situations.

As I've mentioned in another thread before, this is probably the
principal reason for our failure -- as a nation and as the Ron Paul
R3volution movement.

This sounds in many ways similar to Denmarks health care system. But we run in futher "problems". Besides our universities educated way too many future doctors from Sveden and Norway, which prefered to travel futher after they finished their education and haven`t had any future obligations or contracts with our hospitals or etc.

Watch it, you may get in trouble for talking like that.

+1

But Ron Paul explains his message perfectly well. It just falls on deaf ears.

It may be against conventional wisdom, but it is good to see posts like this here. It means people who don't understand the "full package" are interested and learning, albeit still misguided.

I like the way you phrased that. I am working with others to start a new organization and we plan to be first and foremost educational in nature and reach out to the "American People" but you are right that these principles have been in practice so little at any time in recent history that many of Ron Paul's own supporters do not understand exactly how the principles should/do play out in real life.

charity hospitals are not welfare state by the way. It is the free market solution. Charity hospitals are not controlled by the government. And since they are charity, no tax increase needed.

Well call me a socialist which I am not but I have no problems with the government fixing their massive fuck up by doing the opposite and shafting who deserves to be shafted.
