Was there heavy advertising on TV hyping these videos? Are they listed on the tv guides? I didn't even find out they were playing in FL until today.
The reason I ask is because I remember in 1988(??) when Ross Perot bought airtime and my parents knew about it in advance. They weren't Perot supporters but looked forward to watching just to see what it was about.
Hoping for similar hyped interest with these videos....
Just to point it out, he was buying network airtime in an era when not everyone had cable, and even when they did, the networks were still bigger players than today. There was basically *no such thing* as original cable programming, like we think of Breaking Bad, or The Shield. It was such a big deal to have network airtime in the early 90's, and Perot did it a few times.
I'm pretty sure if Ron Paul paid to be on after 30 Rock, that'd be news now, think of it that way. Then imagine the magnification of doing it when it was 30 Rock or reruns of shows from 1981 on cable. We're talking the cultural impact of buying all three networks, a couple cable channels and twitterbombing a livestream all at the same time.
