Empire: Total War to be released March 4, 2009 (March 2, 2009 for Steam orders)

Why would you pay $20 for that when you can pay $110 for a 1GB video card which will work for quite some time. I don't even think they have a 2BG one yet.

For a computer my little sister wants. She mostly just plays TF2. I have an 8800GTX in my PC now.

Oh, plus the amount of video card memory beyond 512MB isn't going to help much in boosting performance unless your resolution is high enough to fill it up. For the most part, the speed of the memory and GPU is what's important.

The only reason I am upgrading to 1GB over 512MB is that it will last longer with new game updates. I am also upgrading my RAM to 4GB from 2GB. I want to run this game at top performance since this is like my dream game. Since I opened the first Medieval: Total War I wanted to play this era with it.

I'll give you $20 for it.

Why would you offer money for something he has already offered to give to someone else?

Either you believe that Kludge will retract his offer so that he can sell it to you or....

I mean he is a nihilist, but aside from that he is a decent guy.

Shhh, don't encourage him to change his mind.

Coyote never gave a yes or no. YB is winning by default, but I'll send to Coyote if he wants, since I offered.

Whatever The Unabomber hated technology, Kludge can't live without technology.

I need to live without technology. I'm going to drown in the nearby pile of unread books. Too many authors write too much on too little, with an authoritative, often fake-sounding, and dull voice just barely better than textbooks.

This game looks heavenly on Ultra settings, tho my framerate is non-existent at that level. I'm buying this game and we will make a sweet clan. The demo is really buggy tho

Oh, that reminds me... I have a bunch of packages on my porch.

Living off the internet is so cool because you never know what necessities (luxuries) arrived today! It makes for a great surprise (and disappointment, if it was REALLY a necessity -- Though I haven't yet, I believe you can order toilet paper off the internet from office suppliers for dirt cheap -- though I also hear they feel like dirt). Believe the parts were supposed to arrive today by the UPS website, but I checked that days ago.

+1776, and hopefully we have some modders to make some excellent mods in addition to our crushing of statist idiots over at twcenter (seriously, it is the most idiotic of any forum I have been to, and I am on a lot). I suck at modding, so I will be of little help unless I learn somehow.

yay, we're friends over there now! Ya, most of them at twcenter seem to be advocates of force, war, and empire. I will continue to try and show them the light.

Hm. They've been moving around the download/retail dates in some attempt to confuse everyone involved.

Pre-loading is canceled,

Retail purchase seems to be available starting today,

Digital downloads will be permitted to download (which will probably take at least 10 hours) starting tomorrow.

I'm a bit grumpy, since Steam doesn't permit one-click cancellation of pre-orders.

I hate steam.
