Empire: Total War to be released March 4, 2009 (March 2, 2009 for Steam orders)

Looking forward to this release. I enjoyed Rome and Medieval 2 Total War. Can't wait as this will be a new game engine with more navel combat and my favorite time period 1700-1800's!

We need to keep this thread alive and form a clan for this forum. Maybe make a Liberty movement clan consisting of YAL, C4L, LP, and CP people.

Idunno how I'll feel about having guns dominate the battlefield. I'm interested in what kind of ground units will exist. I can't imagine much more than bayonets and muskets, with soldiers mounted or on foot.

I should probably upgrade my video card eventually (7950 GT is still running most games at an FPS where drops are unnoticeable, but it's starting to dip to 20-30 on lowest settings in some of the more demanding FPS games. I start to notice once it dips below 40 FPS.) and switch to a 64 bit OS.

I have a great name for our clan, we can hold a vote for it as well. "The Army of the Republic"

it's the name of the guerilla freedom fighters group in Stuart Acher Cohen's new book The Army of the Republic.

I like it.

I remember trying the first one before, didnt care much for it. Maybe ill give it a go this time around.

I'v pre-ordered this game 2 months ago.

One guy acidently downloaded the incompelete demo from steam (which CA confirmed and had to make an announcement about why the demo was taking so long) and just a few hours ago he said to watch steam tommorow. As im sure CA has talked to that guy a lot, they probably told him more than they told us.

So good chance the demo will be out tommorow.
