Of course someone with mental problems would likely be on psychiatric medication. This doesn't mean the medication caused them to kill.

Here's a thought: what if conspiracies are being created by the people who sell tin foil? Wouldn't that explain a lot of these posts?
It doesn't mean it didn't either. What do you think the problem is? Do you think that there are just more evil people being born now than a hundred years ago? Something has changed, what is it?

If just ten percent of those on SSRIs are mass killers we should have about three million of them.
That statement has zero scientific validity. Where does your 10% figure come from anyways? Why does a side effect have to affect 10% of patients? Why not .01%? Most people who suffer from psychosis don't commit mass murder. That is just the most extreme way in which psychosis manifests itself. It stands to reason that the vast majority of patients who experience that side effect are not going to use that as their outlet.
You know, the majority of people who take anti-depressants don't turn psychotic. You don't hear about them because they never do anything newsworthy like murdering a bunch of people.
This kid had serious mental issues to begin with. Can't imagine why his parents chose to believe giving him a tranquilizer like Xannax was enough to "fix" him.

Which came first? The shooter being nuts or being put on meds? In nearly all cases, the shooter was nuts first- was put on meds, and eventually went nuts enough to kill a bunch of people. Can anybody offer examples of somebody "normal" who was put on meds and then went out and killed a bunch of people?

So what happens when these people on these pills run out?
Not as far as a global catastrophic event but something minor, like got laid off and cant afford the insurance, so the supply of pills stops? These types of pills are not things you can just cut cold-turkey, we know that.
So lets address two possible causes:
#1 Psychotic Break due to the pills
#2 Psychotic Break and pills were needed
In the case that #1 is true, we are in very deep shit indeed. What percentage of our adults are now on some sort of antidepressant? Isnt it like 20% or something? I think it is actually higher, which is even scarier.
In the case that #2 is true, perhaps a very small percentage of people truly do benefit. But I find it exceptionally hard to believe that 20% of our adult population is actually in need of pills to fix their problems, which is why I personally have such a hard time believing that SSRI's are not applied as a panacea to fix everyones symptoms and not address the deeper root of the problems, which so many people in the US now face.
Has anyone bothered to ask themselves what happens to a person that is put on ANY of these types of pills, antidepressants, SSRIs, etc, not just one single class. What happens when you have a properly functioning brain of a person that has lost their job thru no fault of their own and is now working part time and somehow able to afford these pills to help their problems? I'll tell you what I think happens. We become dependent on these pills to maintain our normalcy bias, and as a result, we are unable to function without constantly being medicated. Basically, it is the difference between having an argument with someone, and having an argument with someone when youre both drunk as skunks. The drunker you get, the worse things get. The problems are still there, financial, relationship, whatever the case may be, but the alcohol only added fuel to the fire. That is what I think is happening with so many people with "normal" problems that are immediately prescribed pills to solve everything. Even the most highly paid Psychiatrist cant help a client fix their financial woes, so when they prescribe these pills, they may just as well say 'fuck you, give me money, and give me more money, and take this pill'. No different than my attitude toward assholes that tell me to "just go to their website" as soon as I ask them for anything as their first response and not bothering to be helpful at all.
I can believe that America is still in a very deep depression. The MSM touts the economy as being back to normal, with all these fast food jobs having replaced so many of our middle class jobs and I dont believe it for one second. I believe our real unemployment rate is still somewhere between 20% and 25% regardless of what the talking heads tell you. Im dealing with fighting for unemployment yet again, and if I lose, I dont get counted. Want proof of that statement? Labor Particpation Rate. Or after you crunch the numbers and find that around 90 million people (out of 330 million people) that are between the age of 18 and 65 do not cout as "in the labor force". Some I can understand, school for example. Most of which, they just wanna smoke and mirrors the numbers to reduce the unemployment rate to an artificially low number.
But the result of the economy sucking constipated shit thru a coffee stir straw on the individual is tremendous. Their grief is amplified tremendously. And putting them on pills they can not afford not only masks the symptoms, but the longer that the real cause of the individual depression goes untreated (getting another decent paying job), the more problems that spill over from the individual into the rest of society. That is, if they can even afford said pills to begin with. If they cant, they very well may turn to alcohol or other harder drugs to cope. And yet we still sit around with our collective heads up our asses getting our proctologists to give us a head examination as to how we have the highest level of drug and alcohol abuse in the world. Yeah, we're #1 yet again in yet another thing we should not be #1 in at all.
Then we do something even worse. We Blame The Victim. The MSM tells us to do this each and every time. The MSM will NOT mention anything about whether or not the people that do all these shootings and mass murders are on drugs. Reason being is they make money by running advertisements for the makers of these drugs. Its the same reason why you and I and everyone damn well good and knows that car dealerships fuck women and drag them over the coals. News wont talk about it because it is either "not newsworthy", or the bigger car dealerships will stop running as many ads in response to having negative information presented to the public about them. Its a conflict of interest to pay someone to run an advertisement for a company that has been portrayed negatively. This is one of the big reasons the MSM can not be trusted. So when the MSM tells you to BLAME THE VICTIM, in probably most of these cases, these people would have been okay if the Community had reached out their collective hands in support. That is on us. You and me. That is our voluntary responsibility, to offer the help when we can. But instead, we sit on our cellphones posting shit on facebook and twitter about how bad everything is instead of getting involved and doing something positive for these types of people truly in need. One of the reasons we do this is we are hurting like hell ourselves. We, as a collective libertarian group, are not exactly treated nice by those who are blindly obedient to the new religion of government worship. We dont have the best jobs anymore either. We withdraw our helping hands from each other and let the lowest members of our communities fall, and when they do, the shootings happen. This is divide and conquer, when its not just black vs white or christian vs muslim, but neighbor vs neighbor and brother vs brother.
These shootings themselves I think are blown way the fuck out of proportion by the MSM. That is also how they make their money. Sucker people in to watching because the stronger the emotional response in people that can be provoked, the more that they will come back to watch tomorrow, which allows them to have an audience to show their clients ads to. Its the same reason they wont shut the fuck up about Donald Duck Trump. Its sensationalism. Its like getting addicted to war for soldiers. Fear has become our high. We are addicted to the constant Fear that the MSM constantly purports. And for those of us that are marginalized, excluded, and shunned for whatever reason, we reach a breaking point. Its a point that EVERY SINGLE PERSON has. Make no mistake, you CAN be broken. Military teaches every new recruit this. In a shitty depressed society where they are blamed for the societal problems of joblessness and whatever else may ail them, they break, and try to hurt those they feel are the most responsible for causing their own pain. MSM fearmongered response of "avoid weird people at all costs and call the cops on them" is not going to solve any of these peoples issues. Understanding the real reason that these people have trouble in their lives not only enables us the ability to prevent more events like this, but to allow this deeply damaged nation to start to heal as a whole.
A plethora of pills will not fix any broken society.
