A U.S. senator who understands Austrian economics (and thus the only one who can make sense of what is happening right now) and is committed to a program of genuine fiscal conservatism, sound money, civil liberties, and nonintervention abroad? Six years of such a senator, right across from the biggest media market in the country, would give our ideas a higher political profile than ever before. Please read the rest:

I just don't understand how he's gonna win in such a democratic state. The lower and middle want more welfare...

The "lower" do not vote in NJ.
And the middle are getting absolutely destroyed by the fiscal irresponsibility, soaring taxes, cronyism, outright corruption, and bureaucratic bullshit.
The middle is sick and tired of paying for the rich and the poor and will rally behind Murray.
There are more indies in NJ than dems and repubs COMBINED, and they are absolutely fed up with the status quo.
Murray will shock everybody this year.

I don't understand how he will win in a primary against Joe Pennacchio. Pennacchio served in the New Jersey general assembly, building a record on the issues and a fanbase which Sabrin does not have.

Sabrin has a fan base. He ran for governor before and got 5% if the vote. I think that is a lot for the Libertarian nominee.

I understand, and I know it's possible that he could win, as Abraham Lincoln went straight from lawyer to President, but it would make me feel safer if he had tested the waters in his district by running for lower office to test campaign strategies, see what works and what doesn't. Many major news outlets (New York Times!) are doing to Sabrin what they did for Ron Paul, painting him as a fringe candidate, associating him with the failed policies of the Bush Administration, etc. It would help for his credibility.

It really depends on the situation. In California, the year before we (I lived in Cali at the time) were stupid enough to elect Arnold in a landslide, we nominated some no name businessman named Bill Simon to be Governor. He narrowly lost the election. The only reason why he won the nomination: the only other opponent I heard of in the race was a liberal former mayor (I think of L.A., but I don't know). Paint Pennachio as to liberal and you can win.

You know, I have to say this..

There are way to many nay sayers about Murray on this forum. I don't know what the problem is, but it seems to me that there are alot of people quite content on accepting the fact that Ron Paul most likely will not get the nomination, and its just easier to quit the revolution, than it is to keep trying.

Keep the "we can't do it" attitude at home or save it for some other candidate cause I tell you what, Murray wants to win.

Many of the Ron Paul supporters in NJ WANT TO WIN.

and Murray already has a pre existing following, that WANTS TO WIN.

Watch how quickly the rest of you nay sayers jump on the band wagon when we win the primary, and start heading for the General,

Sunshine Patriots, the lot of you.

Getting Murray elected (among others) is, in my opinion, now the most important direction of this movement. Paul has his House seat secured and, while I'm not saying to ignore Paul, he needs allies in the government, and a Senate seat with someone so schooled in economics would be a HUGE step toward getting this country headed back towards fiscal responsibility.

I don't live in NJ, but I do live in the US, and NJ is a part of it. Murray's run for the Senate should generate just as much support as Paul's run for Congress. I've donated twice and will donate more if I can.
