Get Ron Paul ads in the Stars and Stripes newspaper--- Great Idea. All soldiers abroad read that paper.
What sucks is there is a high chance the absentee vote from the military won't even count.....
I e-mailed Fred for a price estimate and timing requirements for the next run. What a great idea to get the message direct to our military!! Thank you Orwell1984.
maybe we can send them phone cards, so they can call home. Imagine:
Solider: Hey mom and dad Ron Paul send me a phone Card
Mon and Dad: Who?
Solider: Ron Paul, he is running for president, we wants to bring us home and end this stupid war.
Mom and Dad: Oh, I did not know that I will vote for him and get all my friends to vote for him.
Fox News: Ahhh Nuts!
prepaid phone cards are the best and most useful things to send troops overseas, according to the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, whose phone campaign is called Help Our Troops Call Home. Prepaid phone cards can be sent to individual troops or to any troop via a service such as the American Red Cross. As well as phone cards, send a batch of blank greeting cards, so that troops can remember loved ones back home.

I feel you! Lots of people in the Army don't vote because they don't believe their votes will get counted. I worked as a volunteer on election day before I joined the Army. My voting district in Pennsylvania is pretty fair. So I know my vote counts.
But I tell soldiers to donate money to Ron Paul. Their vote may not count, but their definately does. I've donated over $1,000 to Ron Paul. That money has probably generated 25-50 or more votes. So even if my absentee ballot doesnt count. I still created 25-50 or more votes with my money. So I keep telling all my military buddies to donate money because its actually more powerful than their vote. And many have!

I have a better idea than care packages. Create a Ron Paul ad in a military newspaper.
Love this idea! - this is grassroots turf! - can we get someone around this?
I would immediatly contribute to this....DO NOT underestimate a soldier...they have lots of time to think...talk amongst themselves and write to family - there is no better venue...also families truly support soldiers, and want them home, when a soldier writes home and says: " I agree with Dr. Paul" - done deal!
STICKY PLEASE!!!!
P.S. great idea to the soldier in Afganistan! - stay up brother!
The ad could say the Ron Paul has recieved the most donations from the military. Because of that he would like to thank them by giving away free phone cards. That way it sounds more like a thank you and support for the troop then politicizing his cause.
No response yet, I'll give it a couple more days then figure out how to call.
