Easy way to get Millitary vote

Get Ron Paul ads in the Stars and Stripes newspaper--- Great Idea. All soldiers abroad read that paper.

We need the national campaign involved in this. They need to set up a meter on the official website showing the funding. It will also promote the RP website since other peeps outside the campaign will want to send funds for the troops. This is fantastic and leading from the front. WE REALLY SUPPORT OUR TROOPS

I'm waiting for the national campaign to do this. I'm ready to donate ASAP.

What sucks is there is a high chance the absentee vote from the military won't even count.....

I feel you! Lots of people in the Army don't vote because they don't believe their votes will get counted. I worked as a volunteer on election day before I joined the Army. My voting district in Pennsylvania is pretty fair. So I know my vote counts.

But I tell soldiers to donate money to Ron Paul. Their vote may not count, but their definately does. I've donated over $1,000 to Ron Paul. That money has probably generated 25-50 or more votes. So even if my absentee ballot doesnt count. I still created 25-50 or more votes with my money. So I keep telling all my military buddies to donate money because its actually more powerful than their vote. And many have!

I e-mailed Fred for a price estimate and timing requirements for the next run. What a great idea to get the message direct to our military!! Thank you Orwell1984.

Please keep me posted on any new developments with the Stars and Stripes project. Since you probably wont get the Stars and Stripes Middle East Edition where you live, I can scan the ad in the newspaper and load it on the net so everyone can see that the ad was placed.

Please keep me posted!

I really like the custom phone card idea!!!!
The stars and stripe ad "not so much"

I have a better idea than care packages. Create a Ron Paul ad in a military newspaper.

Love this idea! - this is grassroots turf! - can we get someone around this?
I would immediatly contribute to this....DO NOT underestimate a soldier...they have lots of time to think...talk amongst themselves and write to family - there is no better venue...also families truly support soldiers, and want them home, when a soldier writes home and says: " I agree with Dr. Paul" - done deal!

STICKY PLEASE!!!!

P.S. great idea to the soldier in Afganistan! - stay up brother!

maybe we can send them phone cards, so they can call home. Imagine:

Solider: Hey mom and dad Ron Paul send me a phone Card
Mon and Dad: Who?

Solider: Ron Paul, he is running for president, we wants to bring us home and end this stupid war.

Mom and Dad: Oh, I did not know that I will vote for him and get all my friends to vote for him.

Fox News: Ahhh Nuts!

prepaid phone cards are the best and most useful things to send troops overseas, according to the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, whose phone campaign is called Help Our Troops Call Home. Prepaid phone cards can be sent to individual troops or to any troop via a service such as the American Red Cross. As well as phone cards, send a batch of blank greeting cards, so that troops can remember loved ones back home.

Holy Shit dude....that's a freaking GREAT idea.

The ad could say the Ron Paul has recieved the most donations from the military. Because of that he would like to thank them by giving away free phone cards. That way it sounds more like a thank you and support for the troop then politicizing his cause.

We not only have a lot of time to think. But we have a lot of money to blow on deployments. I think thats part of the reason why the US Army is one of Ron Paul biggest donors on opensecrets.org. Soldiers spend their tax free deployment money on stupid shit because they have more moeny than they know what to do with and their bored out of the freakin mind. Thats why I've donated over a $1,000. I figure I take the military industrial complex's money and donate to RP who wants to fight against it.

Plus, a lot of soldiers think that Democrats are the ones who want to get them out of the Middle East. Most of them say they are either voting for Hilary or Obama. I mention Ron Paul to them and their still like "Ron Who?". Then I give them his foreign policy views, then I talk about personal liberty, no income tax, and internet freedom (soldiers love their porn, they even want to take it off military bases. A lot of them like gambling online with Poker Stars, so I tell them how RP fought against that). After that they are sold! I have 3 buddies donating money to RP on a regular consistent basis because I talked to them about him.

And yes, they do tell their parents and friends about him when I call home. I'm now starting to overhear people that I don't know talking to people on the phone about RP. It really is amazing!

No response yet, I'll give it a couple more days then figure out how to call.

Thank You!

Thank you for keeping me updated. You probably already know this. But if you call your operator, they can help you connect to that phone number.
