Easily Paul's best debate

Plus he was assertive. I loved it when King was all like "ok, Congressman, quickly please" and Paul was like "no I get a minute, not quickly" then laid an economic truth bomb. T'was magical.

I agree, Ron definitely nailed it on virtually every questions and rebuttal, and asserted himself into the equation better than he ever has. The 'no i get 1 minute' to King was great lol. I like the fact he mentioned 'if i am president' and also brought up 'Obama' a couple times, and mentioned the Obama poll too. I wish to hell he would have done that more often in past debates, as things go a long way with the sheep watching. Most casual and misinformed voters only care about the whole 'beating Obama' crap, with no substance at all. I think the sitting down definitely helped him a lot too. He made Santorum squirm quite a bit, especially on the earmarking and appropriation bills, and proved how Santorum blows with the wind and doesn't vote principled. Meaning, if he sees something he likes in a bill or whatever, but there is other horrendous crap it in it, he votes for it anyway, and that whole title 10 excuses was just pathetic and made him look really bad. Even the audience reacted to that as well.

The one downside to this debate though, and where Ron could have done better, and i am sure most will agree with me here, was (yea, wait for it...) the damn FP response. Ron got some mild boos and squirming with the audience on his answers there. I guess that is to be expected, and believe me, it makes me sick to hear that shit, as i just can't stand hearing zombie drones moan and whimper due to their belief that Iran is this 'great satan' who wants to destroy the country, is making nukes to launch around the world, and is going to attack the US on its own soil. It just beyond retarded that people buy into this garbage  However, Ron NEVER should have said (as he has in the past) that IRAN FEELS THREATENED SO WERE MAKING THEM DEFEND THEMSELVES. Uuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhg. Why!!? Why does he have to say that!?! This is the stuff that gets him chewed apart on the MSM and Neocon Radio talk shows all the time. Again, this sounds like its OUR FAULT and that WE ARE MAKING THEM WANT NUKES. Now, yes, we all know that is logical and makes plenty of sense, but the average voter who isnt familiar with im, or who listens to Rush all day, isn't going to see it like that, and it DOES sound that way a lot. There is no need to bring up anything that has to do with Iran's defense, sheesh. Who cares about their defense? Stuff like that is going to get him booed or get the audience riled up every time he says that. He also stammered his way through most of the FP responses, and i just don't know why he has such a hard time with that one.

He needs to face the people more and make it known that this is not America's role or purpose, that this is not what our founders envisioned for the country, that war is ugly, deadly and can be catastrophic in this region if something like that ever happened. He needs to SCARE the people a bit. Make them feel how horrible it would be. Bring up Iraq, Gulf Of Tonkin, bring up the all the lies and mishaps and the stuff he said on Piers' show the other day, and how our soldiers aren't fighting for OUR freedoms and for OUR own country. It just seemed like he tripped on himself quite a bit during that reposnse and it just didnt sound very convincing if you put yourself in an 'undecided voter's shoes'.

However, the part where he said he wouldn't win that argument on a 'moral and unconstitutional' level, but that he would win it economically, i thought was brilliant, as it showed humility and at the same time, shows how braind dead most of the country is, because THEY SHOULD understand the moral and constitutional element of it all first and foremost. The Christian element of 'justifiable war' was also a great addition to the arguments. This too, is something i wish so much he would touch on more, not just at debates, but at speaking events. Ron just hasnt reached out to that demographic enough and the campaign needs to start doing that asap, and people here who talk to the campaign staff need to push that issues, because it is the reason why Rick surged so quickly. Ron compared so many biblical things to money, war, and economics with what is going right now, in several past speeches he gave, but then stopped talking about it. Uhhgg. So many more evangelicals and xtians could be on board if he delved into that area more.

But overall, he did really well yesterday, and it's one of the few debates where it actually felt like a debate, not a watered down reality show.
