(Sorry if this is a repeat post for this forum, but it's new information to me.)

Goodsearch, a charity based search engine tool that uses the Yahoo.com search engine, allows you to assign a charity or cause and will donate money for searching and linking to many sites through the pay-per-click links (these are the links that appear at the very top of the sort order almost as advertisement links. These exist because site owners spend money to have that link/url at the top of the list.) For example, while logged into your Goodsearch account if you search "Chevy" and click on the top link or top occurrence of Chevy.com to link to the site, you will get $0.01 for that search to the car brand's site. Please note you are not paid for clicking on the ancillary search result links (links listed in order of perceived relevance by Yahoo), only the company pay-per-click links on top.

Campaign for Liberty is a registered charity on Goodsearch and so far only has 42 supporters, of which only about 10 are actively using it (which is why I thought it was worth a mention.) See their info here: http://www.goodsearch.com/nonprofit/campaign-for-liberty.aspx

More money can be earned by shopping through the Goodshop link. I know there are many programs on the market now that reward you for online shopping (Upromise, most airline mileage clubs, etc.) but if you don't have one you prefer, or your preferred carrier does not offer a reward for a particular site, try Goodshop. For example, I noticed my airline mileage shopping site did not reward purchases through Amazon.com, yet Goodshop will donate 1.5% of purchase prices to your charity if logged into Goodsearch.com and shopping through their link. So when I shop Amazon.com, I do it via Goodshop.

I know the dollar amounts do not seem like much, but Campaign for Liberty has raised over $404 thus far just from the 42 supporters, so imagine what can be accomplished with 1,000 supporters, or 5,000 (which would still just be roughly 1% of all C4L members.)

I have personally contacted the Campaign for Liberty to verify that they do in fact receive the contributions from Goodsearch. As soon as I hear back from them with an answer I will post confirmation in this thread.

My goal here is simply to help add to C4L's war chest during the 'off-season', and I know many of us are more internet savvy than wealthy so this might be a good method to increase C4L funding.

I had forgotten about Goodsearch and its benefits to charities, or in this case, a political org. Definitely going to start using this again especially when doing online shopping, so many stores available. Great timing for the holidays!

Thanks for posting this. I used to "Goodsearch" for C4L all the time, but frankly I forgot it. (I don't even remember my login). I'll sign up again. And frankly this should be a sticky or a banner or something.

I have been raising money for the Ludwig vo Mises Institute if anyone prefers them. Switching over to help C4L though. I didn't know C4L had a 501(C)3 in order to rate a charity status.

Come on yall, let's bump this up to at least 100 users. ez internet activism in your down time plus bonus for shopping.

Right, Mises is another good one. I will follow up again with C4L to make sure they are getting this funding (I believe they are, but I am always double checking these things.)

Out of the 52 users signed up, 11 are actually using it for searching and shopping. Currently, we're up about ten bux with the limited usage, just think if we had 52 users (and many more signing up) actually using this on a regular basis. I know it's small potatoes in the over all scheme of things but it's a great way for those short on funds to help fundraise for Ron's C4L.

We should set up fundraising goals for the Campaign for Liberty using goodsearch! We get 1 penny per search, just imagine how much money we could raise if we all used this as our search engine (which is Google oriented). We could have goodsearch money bombs :)
