Maybe we all should seriously look at our stock, bond, and 401K mutual fund portfolios and see if we either directly or indirectly own any Murdock owned companies and their advertisers on Fox News. Then we pick a day to dump all of these stock portfolios all at once to send a financial message to the big media and their sponsors that we won't take any more meddling in this election by them.

1/7 - In 1789 Electoral College was voted into existence (Good day to do it!!!)

Then we pick another day to include other anti-Ron Paul media organizations like CBS and the lot.

Just a thought, don't get mad, get even with Fox. Boycott Fox News and their Advertisers.

This is a CAPITAL idea! Their ships are sinking along with the dollar, so you're better off in the long run. No need to do anything orchestrated. If the results are dramatic, and the letters keep coming in, they will get the message.

Can someone bump my post on stockpickr.com forums?

This is Cramer's website, with a TON of followers, be polite, dont spam, seem professional...

but go to stockpickr.com and click "forum" and it is the 4th one down, it would be nice to have some activity.
It would probably be best not to come out as a full fledged Ron Paul supporter. You can say you support him, but dont make it obvious you are SOOO biased, if you know what i mean.

Some of us have already put in orders to have money transfered out of mutual funds holding News Corp stock first thing Monday morning: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=67581

Matthylland, I would bump your forum post but I don't think it would be very well received since that would be my first post ever at that site. Can anyone who happens to be a member over there please bump it for him, or better yet add a comment to it and get a discussion going?

Done.

I know absolutely nothing about stocks. Can someone tell me if anything happened today? I saw that it was down, but does anyone have specifics?

No, the market was down overall, so I dont think we had anything to do with it:

BUT, the thing that makes me smell something fishy was up was that we had it knocked down in premarket, and on a low trading day like today, there were MAJOR purchases, probably a buyback from the company to raise the stock.
Not that there is anything wrong with a company buying their own stock...Im just saying that they were able to correct any dip we had caused by throwing billions into their stock.

We cant focus on this, there are too many billions of dollars against us on the stock price.
The way to effect them is to pull sponsors and then make it public that we were able to get the sponsors to pull their ads from FOX because of Fox's censorship of a political candidate.

Bad press will do it to. For instance, if the stock market feels that Murdoch's purchase of the Wall Street Journal was to artificially inflate NWS, or hide problems in his empire. Also, using myspace ads to develop profiles of where users go based on ads displayed would probably hurt too ie tracking by cookies and ad images from same servers.

So if you post here for instance, and use a different account on myspace for something completely different, Murdoch may well know it.

I highly doubt the Company bought back stock. Most likely it was speculative buyers who saw a bargain and purchased them. For every Ron Paul supporter there is 10 people out there that don't care about Liberty, Peace, and Freedom but they do care about making a buck, and when the stock drops they see that as a chance to make a dollar.

Yes, I saw the same thing. However, when a company buys back its own stock, it usually is a not a good use of capital. Yeah, it keeps shareholders happy, but the money might have been used for more productive/profitable purposes. So, if it was the company buying back their own stock, we may be messing up their plans to buy up more media companies and dominate even more.

Also, there will be a point where they run out of money to buy stock. Moreover, all the negative publicity, boycotts, and what not would probably screw up their earnings and make investors nervous. So, I see all of this as a good thing and would not be concerned that the stock didn't go down alot today. It will over time.
