Drudge: Trump leading in 8 states yet to vote

Looking at the Reuters numbers on the board this morning, and Trump has a massive lead in Florida right now. Quite shocking actually. And I'm seeing new numbers out of Texas that will give Cruz and his campaign some serious heartburn. Cruz will be fighting for Texas. If these numbers are correct, Trump is actually up a few points in Texas as of this morning.

Emerson College just released MA numbers, Trump is at 50. He's 34 points ahead of Rubio.

That wont be a big enough lead according to Frank Luntz..... Trump winning by 34 points will be the death knell of Trumps campaign. hahaha

The GOP completely did this to themselves, and I have zero pity for them, the same goes with the rest of the country. The only thing positive that will come from this is that the Neocons may flock back to the Democratic Party, where they belong, which will drastically change the way the GOP is comprised. If this can be angled into a more liberty-friendly culture, it might prove beneficial, but I don't think a Trump presidency will be all that more receptive to Rand's message than what he's replacing, at least in the short-term. After Trump finishes out his term (I'm predicting he will beat Hillary), we'll see what the GOP looks like.

this thing is done.. Trump is going to be the nominee... let that sink in.

As much as I think Trump is a joke, I much rather him win than Cruz or Rubio. If Trump can show what a joke the GOP is by being nominated, well good, it just shows that much more how badly the party needs more people like Rand.

Well that is gonna be really sad . . . Cruz' lie is getting back to home in Texas.
He is not gonna survive politically now in any way, if ALL that is honestly suspected of him and what he has reported/represented to the USA over the years turns up those suspicions as true
(for one small thing, he never actually applied for registration with the USA Selective Service - a technicality but a demonstation of his intent to "hide" something)

This is a very fair poster at events now, in light of the distortions at South Carolina townhall mid-week a few days ago.

.

Even if Kasich, Carson and Cruz were to drop out after Nevada, I don't know if it would be enough. Trump hasn't even begun attacking Rubio yet, they have no idea how Trump will hit him. I think he's keeping that in his back pocket until they are down to three (Cruz and Rubio). Kasich staying in hurts Rubio, and Carson staying in hurts Cruz. But like Trump said after his win in SC, even if those two drop out, then there is no guarantee that all of their supporters go to Cruz or Rubio. I think it's inevitable now, if this were any other candidate everybody would be proclaiming the nomination race basically over.

Just like Drudge said yesterday, get ready for Trump vs. Hillary. I know Trump will probably hit her pretty hard, but I don't see any chance of him beating her. He can get away with his rhetoric with a pissed off Republican constituency, but winning independents and the minority vote with a net -31 favorability just seems impossible to me.

I don't think Trump is destroying the GOP.

I think the GOP is going to go in the opposite direction. MOAR OLD Right Wing White men! Moar Mccain! No more young cubans! More Old white men who praise Jesus, hate drugs, and want to kill brown people.

The GOP will blame Cruz and Rubio, distance themselves from Jindall's of the GOP and shrink their vision to old white guys like McCain.

If true, which I do not necessarily agree with, then that would in fact bring about their extinction faster, and leave a vacuum for something else to arise. Old people go senile and die.

McCain? Trump and McCain are polar opposites. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see McCain challenged heavily in Arizona. John McCain is a blatant internationalist. The type of scumbag hooked on the irresponsible doctrine of 'Invade the world & invite the world' while leaving the hefty bill for the mundanes to pay.

Why do you hate old white guys so much? They built this country.

One final globalist to vanquish with Marco.

EXACTLY. The GOP won't blame themselves for this, they won't listen to people's frustration about these useless politicians and why they seek an outsider.

I see them going in the opposite direction next time around. No wishy washy candidates some pretending to be outsiders. Also no brown Jindalls, no Carsons, no cubans, no ladies. None of these other types of candidates. None of them could stand up to a Trump. They will go full on good ole fashion McCain of bomb bomb bomb bombing Iran. Get the old people vote. Get the old war hero or someone like him. No fancy shmancy mormons. Go full on establishment candidate who totes the party line to a tee.

I don't think the GOP thinks or will think, "There's something wrong with us, that people are voting for this Trump guy."

I think they are going to go the opposite direction, "We had terrible candidates this year, no one could stand up to this stupid Trump guy. We need a unifying traditional voice next time around that has been an old established veteran that everyone can get behind."

Alabama will be a split decision probably (if no one over the 50% threshold for winner-take-all)

Ohio . . . could Kasich win there ?

I honestly didn't think of Kasich. I'd be surprised if he doesn't drop out before Ohio votes March 15. Why should he keep running if he can only win 1 state, and its still a longshot??? The most recent Ohio poll, granted is old since October, had Trump leading at 23% and Kasich at 13%

that's exactly what I've been saying about Cruz

It's obvious now...it's not Marco versus Trump or Ted vs Trump, it's the establishment versus Trump. They are keeping as many stooges in as long as possible to keep as many delegates as possible away from Trump.

Their plan is stealth delegates, same us us last 2 cycles. If we go through the entire primary process with Trump getting 35%, Rubio 20% and Cruz 20%...Then at the convention suddenly it's Trump 35% to 65% establishment.

He's putting all his chips on Michigan (March 8th) and hoping to win the midwest.

For this to play out, the other candidates need to be able to win some states outright. Until after March 15, taking 20% or more is good enough to stay in the race, but it is mainly winner take all after that.

So like Jeb or Kristy-kream?
