I don't think it will work as well as expected. These systems are designed to be used in places like airports, casinos and bus stations, where everything runs on a schedule and more importantly, has been doing so for a long time.

Activity around the convention is not 'permanent'; true, everything can be observed, and patterns for 'usual activity' can be developed, but it needs more than a week to collect enough data to detect things to a high degree of probability. The ones in the airports have been collecting data for several years, and are just now reaching that point.

I'm not going to Tampa (9 1/2 week daughter) but all those who are should take steps to ensure they aren't intimidated.

Also, this is something that I've discussed off and on for 2, 3 months and I didn't get much in the way of "yes, we need to start getting organized now, we need to start buying materials now, we need to start training with these materials now."

More than half of the grassroots just wants to chant "Ron Paul" or scream it at inappropriate times. Maybe "End the Fed".

I could type thousands of words right now about the various products that can be bought. And you have some good suggestions. It would be good to do these things.

Window film that you put on windows is cheap, and you can stretch it across your face. Metallized mylar is almost free, another "see out but not in" material.
Those are "emergency blankets" huge sheets of metallized mylar. You can get them for $4 at Walmart.

I don't think we have the stuff to do anything effectively though, so I'll keep it way short of the thousands of words.

The equipment needed is less than $10 bucks and you can get all of it at Radio Shack (except for the hat).

Yes, some of the people should be interested. But they aren't preparing to do this now. So, we're looking at basically the same thing as always. Like a typical antiwar protest, but Ron Paul related. very "sincere" very "earnest". Not funny. Not clever. Not smart. Most likely, will make Ron Paul (instead of Mitt Romney) look bad.

Try things like disruptive "pro Israel" chants. People at home will think "those Republicans are crazy", not "Ron Paul has offensive supporters".

But if Ron Paul gets his name put in Nomination and there's a vote, we really shouldn't be doing any of these things.

And if you're talking IR leds, also talk UV leds. They also have a purpose.

The thing about the hats - you gotta know when to use them. Imagine you are in a crowd with one of these hats. From a distance, the camera sees a sea of heads, but yours is lit up like a lighthouse on a foggy night.

Incidentally, this is similar to how birds of prey can dive down and snatch up a mouse from 1000 feet. Mice drop small amounts of urine when they walk, which glows when exposed to UV light, and the birds can see in the UV spectrum.

This software isn't about Ron Paul and supporters of the Constitution people. This is about keeping the Democrats out, which should be very easy (not sure how Romney will sneak by though).

Did we forget that Rand and Ron have seats at the big boy table now? Rand endorsed Romney on national tv, did we forget this? Rand will stand up for us at the convention if it's needed. He will tell the security and RNC to get the security out if need be.
Rand Paul is looking out for us, and our future. How could we forget.


Oh, and if we aren't sure if the campaign is aware of this, let's just keep checking RonPaul2012.com. They have the important updates and reminders there, such as why endorsing Mitt Romney is A-okay.
Again, this software is to keep the Democrats out, not the Ron Paul Republicans.
