Drudge calling out the media hitmen

It's all about the phrasing. Drudge reported the governor saying that the results should be ignored if Paul wins. That's a clear statement exposing the governor's bias.

If drudge had gone with the headline, "Ron Paul win may discredit caucuses", or something, it'd be different.

Drudge, like Stewart, seems to be generally interested in fairness.

They're playing a dangerous game here. If they're willing to trash their own state's voters for choosing Ron Paul they're setting themselves up for blowback.

There's no such thing as blowback. The GOP establishment has been insisting that blowback doesn't exist for 10 years now.

Can somebody please explain how Drudge putting these stories front and center is a good thing? I've heard this twice now, and I genuinely don't understand.

It's not. Matt Drudge got his start diverting the Chinagate treason into a sex scandal. For someone to keep stabbing you in the back, they have to pretend to be your friend and let up every once in awhile.

If they don't want us to vote, then why have an election. Just dictate to us from on high who the candidate will be. And why stop there? Just tell us who the next president will be and be done with it. As far as people changing their registrations... Isn't it up to the people? The people vote. The candidates that the people vote for go on to face each other in the general and the people vote again. That's what we do. We the people, vote. Again, if they don't want us to vote, then just tell who the next candidate/president will be.

Good god.

If they don't want us to vote, then why have an election.

Dictatorships and suberted democracies keep up the appearance of elections, but don't actually have them. The former soviet union was this way.

The media is suppose to tell you who is suppose to win. They give the perception that it was plausible when they fix the vote. So many people support Ron Paul, and the other candidates scandals are so bad, this isn't possible this. The whole apparatus is unamerican, from the secret vote counts to the 89 second debates.

they did it to us with the Ames Straw poll and they're doing it to us now with the Iowa Caucases.. shameful

Headline should have read ------> Republican Establishment and Statists Are Going Ape Shit

The American system of government is a farce. Way to discredit the ENTIRE electoral process assholes!

The only reason they say Iowa doesn't matter is because they want the results of the Iowa election to influence N.H. voters, and in turn influence S.C. voters, and in turn influence Florida voters. And on down the line. This is why states are willing to break the rules to get to the front. The states don't give a lick WHO the story is about, the states just want to be mentioned in that news cycle. It's a childish attempt at getting attention and in turn grabbing some political power.

So now, Iowa doesn't matter because the only way that influence story-line works is if there is a candidate on top that the media feels good about pumping up. Well, the media doesn't feel good about pumping up candidates that are not funded by the same source of funding that the media gets. This creates a conflict of interest for them. So now the media is employed to make an all out effort to repeat the pyschological warfare against the American voter (read testing what crap words to use to turn someone against a candidate) that has "proven" through trial and error to work.

In short, this article is a propoganda piece that is not only an insult to Iowans, it's a direct attack on the American pysche that is akin to yanking the leash back on a dog in a snap jerk in order to force the dog to obey.

You will know if Americans are off the leash of the elite based on the response to this focused attack, not on Ron Paul, but on Americans ability to think for themselves, digest facts, and come to conclusion based in reality and not in establishment status quo propaganda.
