Drudge calling out the media hitmen

Yeah, the establishment has decided it would be easier to attack and bully the voters of Iowa, than it is to attack Ron Paul's record. They're trying to send a message to the country that if you vote for the non approved media/establishment candidate, then you're "throwing away your vote." It's the same old argument, but in a different way. This time, they're saying it will "discredit" the caucuses. An absurd notion. I think the people are sick and tired of having the government approved candidate forced down their throat.

No one was claiming the caucuses were "discredited" when Bachman, Perry, Romney, and Gingrich led the POLLs. Only when Ron is in the lead do they say such asinine things. I swear, with each lame thing the establishment does they become more transparent and exposed for what they really are. By attacking the voters now, it truly shows the desperation.

Wow I don't see this as a positive.. I reckon it's all in the eye of the beholder, but seeing that Paul is now getting attacked by 4 candidates makes me think we could have peaked a little early, but there's no way to time this stuff. Paul needs to hit Romney hard to make sure his negatives go up as much as Paul's. They're gonna try to gang up on him like they did Howard Dean. My nerves are gonna be wrecked for the next two weeks..

We're going to miss Ron being ignored.

“They’ll all go back and vote for Obama,” predicted Beach.

I seriously doubt anyone here is going to vote for Obama. Ridiculous.

The difference is they can't attack his positions other than to disagree with his foreign policy, but the people are with him on foreign policy so it helps his case to bring up his positions. They can try all they want... They don't have any video or audio of him flip flopping like his competitors. The best they can do is discredit the caucus or say the voting machines were "hacked" if he wins by a large margin. They got nuthin'
Also, Democrats switching to Paul won't go back to Obama. They actually LIKE Paul enough to switch parties to vote for him! They KNOW he's the only one that could actually have a chance against Obama. If they really wanted Obama, they'd switch and vote for Bachman, or Rick or Perry because those three would get whopped by Obama.

If Ron Paul isn't the nominee I might.

I like Erazmus said above: "Yeah, the establishment has decided it would be easier to attack and bully the voters of Iowa, than it is to attack Ron Paul's record."

Looks like the plan is to intimidate people to vote establishment. It's not about ignoring Ron, its to ignore the democratic process and the will of the voters if he wins.

The actual quote from the governor:

“People are going to look at who comes in second and who comes in third,” said Gov. Terry Branstad. “If [Mitt] Romney comes in a strong second, it definitely helps him going into New Hampshire and the other states.”

The key to winning is to deny that strong second/third place finish. We need Ron Paul leading by a lot in Iowa.

We need to keep calling!

This. This. This. This. +rep!

Being massively attacked all at once is recognition that we are the front runner. It's not enough just to win guys, we need to obliterate them. We need a ronslide its the only thing that will shut them up... we need to beef up the calls, HARD.

I think the establishment thinks Mitt has NH in the bag, so they're going to play off the importance of Iowa and try to give Mr. establishment the hyped up run until super Tuesday. That's why I think South Carolina is really important for us.

The American system of government is a farce. Way to discredit the ENTIRE electoral process assholes!

The only reason they say Iowa doesn't matter is because they want the results of the Iowa election to influence N.H. voters, and in turn influence S.C. voters, and in turn influence Florida voters. And on down the line. This is why states are willing to break the rules to get to the front. The states don't give a lick WHO the story is about, the states just want to be mentioned in that news cycle. It's a childish attempt at getting attention and in turn grabbing some political power.

So now, Iowa doesn't matter because the only way that influence story-line works is if there is a candidate on top that the media feels good about pumping up. Well, the media doesn't feel good about pumping up candidates that are not funded by the same source of funding that the media gets. This creates a conflict of interest for them. So now the media is employed to make an all out effort to repeat the pyschological warfare against the American voter (read testing what crap words to use to turn someone against a candidate) that has "proven" through trial and error to work.

In short, this article is a propoganda piece that is not only an insult to Iowans, it's a direct attack on the American pysche that is akin to yanking the leash back on a dog in a snap jerk in order to force the dog to obey.

You will know if Americans are off the leash of the elite based on the response to this focused attack, not on Ron Paul, but on Americans ability to think for themselves, digest facts, and come to conclusion based in reality and not in establishment status quo propaganda.

Time to get Rand out there to shut these puckers up. Those other idiots like Perry should know that if Mitt wins Iowa this race could be over. A Paul win would allow them to live another day unless they have been given orders by their overlords....

Again, I think it bears repeating. This is not an attack on Ron Paul. This is a full frontal assualt on the ability for American's, in particular, early caucus and primary voters to think for themselves and make decisions that benefit themselves rather than the establishment status quo.

The BS is flying. The candidate that is pulling Dems and Indies, who will vote Democrat otherwise, can't win? It is laughable using their own analysis.

This is exactly what makes a candidate electable. And why Perry, Bach, etc are less electable.

The people fabricating Paul's lead and saying a win for him would mean irrelevance for the caucus can all burn in the deepest pit of hell. Stupid, ignorant fucks like these are the ones keeping this country down. We already don't have a true democracy, but FUCK, don't strip us down even more.

Its all out there for the common folk to see, if you pick who we do not want it does not count. Pravda all over. That is why we must run third party and kill the GOP once and foreall if need be. The only reason the house went republican was to live up to small gubmint principles in the first place.

they did it to us with the Ames Straw poll and they're doing it to us now with the Iowa Caucases.. shameful
