Can somebody please explain how Drudge putting these stories front and center is a good thing? I've heard this twice now, and I genuinely don't understand.

Because every American in this country finds it offensive to see the media or party officials subverting the will of the people in elections.
Imagine if Roger Ailes was quoted as saying "don't let Ron Paul win." Think of this headline Drudge published as a mini-version of that.
It's good for the same reason that Jon Stewart highlighting the biased media coverage is good for us.
Drudge is publishing it to expose them, not to spread the anti-RP message.
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then...
LOLWill Ron Paul Kill the Caucuses?
The alarms are sounding in Iowa.
Conservatives and Republican elites in the state are divided over who to support for the GOP nomination, but they almost uniformly express concern over the prospect that Ron Paul and his army of activist supporters may capture the state’s 2012 nominating contest — an outcome many fear would do irreparable harm to the future role of the first-in-the-nation caucuses.
They're playing a dangerous game here. If they're willing to trash their own state's voters for choosing Ron Paul they're setting themselves up for blowback.
