Draft Mia Love for U.S. Representative

Mia is the only candidate who can realistically win. She is unique in that she has heavy support from both the establishment (who want a black female Republican to change the "old white man" perception of the GOP) and the grassroots/TeaParty (who like her fiscally conservative policies). Her race was one of the most expensive House races in 2012. A Ron Paul type will not receive as much financial support.

That depends on who we consider a liberty candidate or not...I think Mia Love may be one, certainly she is at least 3 stars on the unofficial rating system in the 2014 candidate section, but why would 6.5k libertarians vote against her? It makes sense there would be a few who just always vote 3rd party, but I feel there has to be a reason for people voting against her. I voted against the Republican (and for the libertarian) in my district even though she was endorsed by FreedomWorks, because I felt she was a career politician with a dislikable personality. There could be something similar in play here.

Not everyone who votes for a Libertarian candidate is actually a libertarian. I'd bet a lot of those votes (if not most of them) came from hardcore lefties who voted for Vein because the Democrat wasn't liberal enough for them...

If you could have Jim DeMint or Ron Paul as your congressman, who would you pick? If the choice was JimDeMint or John McCain, who would you pick?

--That is essentially the situation here, if there is no Ron Paul person then Mia is obviously the best, but if a RP supporter runs in the primary we should support them. At the same time I have studied her positions a little more, and deemed her a good candidate.

I would support her although if State Rep. Carl Wimmer ran again, I might support him.

He is better than Love.

Does he have the name recognition that Love already has? I think if he's better than Love, as you said, he'd have to work pretty much now to build up the profile that Love gained by speaking at both CPAC and the 2012 RNC that got her exposure.
