But will Bunning run again? That's the question.I think the political climate in 2010 will help Bunning win easily anyway.

there are rumors that Bunning is looking to resign before 2010:

Isn't Senator Hutchinson up in Texas in 2010? Then the plot really thickens. President Johnson will need some solid allies in the Senate.
Sen. Rand Paul
Sen. Ron Paul
Sen Schiff
Sen. Napolitano
Take it from a Kentuckian, don't believe everything you read in The Communist Urinal.
This is being worked on actually. Bunning said he'd be wiling to chat with Rand. But no one knows when, or what Bunnings intentions really are.LOL!
Can't Rand/Ron pickup the phone and call Bunning?
A simple phone call or office visit, settles it all.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning reiterated on Friday that he will seek re-election next year.
The two-term Republican also said he is willing to meet with Rand Paul, son of U.S. Rep. and former Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul of Texas, to discuss his race.
Paul, a Bowling Green eye surgeon, expressed interest in the race on Thursday, saying he would consider running in Bunning's place if the 77-year-old sports icon were to drop out or would perhaps assist Bunning in his re-election campaign if he stays in.
Paul said he'd like to meet with Bunning to discuss the matter.
"Let me be very clear about this. I am running for re-election to the United States Senate," Bunning said in a release to The Associated Press on Friday. "I'd be happy to meet with anyone who wants to be a part of my winning team."
Paul praised Bunning for his opposition to a federal bailout of the banking industry, and said he would consider entering the Senate race only if Bunning drops out. Paul said he is in no way trying to encourage Bunning to drop out.
Mitch McConnell is like the King in Kentucky. He has vast political influence and was urging all the Republicans to vote for the bank bailout. Bunning stood up against it, and called it what it was. Since then, I understand McConnell has been taking shots at Bunning, about him having Alzheimer's and rot like that, and trying to find a good little neocon to replace him. Bunning certainly does not agree with us on a lot of points, but he is one of very few people to come out against the Federal Reserve like Ron Paul has.
Did anyone heat the news?![]()
Yeah just a few dozen spammers in their parents' basement came out to support liberty yesterday!I guess he made up his mind.
