L.L. bean is in main what apple is in cupertino..... I believe its the largest employer in the state...behind the state government. And I believe L.L. Bean is the largest US clothing maker.... so its pretty big for maine... and impressive for those who want to keep jobs in America despite rising costs.... there was a big article in the walstreet journal how they fought going overseas if i can remeber properly

already with these stories on major news outlets it seems that this endorsement is getting more attention than tom davis'? is that fair to say?

Yup, and i'll take it. It may not seem like a huge endorsement outside of maine, but this could be good and big locally there :D

Is it fair to assume the 5 PM endorsement will be bigger than the Bean endorsement? In that case, this could be good.

Just pulled the trigger on a nice new L.L. Bean sweatshirt. Was in need of one!

Rep +1 for supporting an RP endorser.

I've been searching for a decent made in USA jacket for a while now, I'm going to check out LL Bean myself.

Damn, all of their jackets are imported! Ick.

Yeah, it's a big endorsement for Maine, especially.

L.L. Bean has been around forever.

lets buy LL Bean products.

they are taking a big risk endorsing RP. they might lose suppliers, distributors, customers, or connections by siding with RP.

I grew up wearing L.L. Bean stuff. When you're shoveling a wet snow (not the light powdery stuff in the movies) there is no better shoe to be wearing than L.L. Bean. You don't have to worry about your feet getting wet and a dry sock is always warmer than a wet one.

I can attest to this. I'm from the northeast, and when I was 14 or so I bought a pair of L.L. Bean hiking boots, as I was a boy scout and did a lot of camping, much of it in the snow.

It's been more than ten years and I haven't had to buy another pair of boots since.

Yeah, I used to buy it all the time when I lived in Illinois. I don't so much now that I am in southern California.
