If we can't get the nomination We must go 3rd Party and Make Some noise and Really Start this Revolution!

Can We Get a Petition to Dr Paul For this?

Just stop. Paul has said he doesn't want to do that. And he cannot be on the ballot in every state at this point.

Being in a third party is right where they want you. You can't take over the GOP if you are in the non-threatening LP or CP.

About 10% of Paul supporters will vote for Romney.
That's a FRACTION of what Romney needs to win. Ron Paulers staying home or voting 3rd party= a guaranteed Romney loss!

A Ron Paul 3rd party or Indy run would be a shot of adrenaline in the arm of the liberty movement.

I think I saw a thread earlier, must have been moved (can't seem to find it right now), about starting a write-in campaign for Ron Paul; and idea I totally support. To be proactive, last week, I started to layout a new political sign idea on one of those make your own sign Websites.

This type of post is getting old. Why would Ron run 3rd party. It would destroy his movement all together. You can't change anything from the outside looking in. You have to get in the inside of the party and blow it up. Ron has done a great job getting people involved. If he ran 3rd party he would be blamed for a Romney loss. It would give the republicans another reason to stay the course and blame Paul for the loss. I agree with what Rand did. He is a republican in the senate. If he didn't do what he did they would of found a way to get rid of him. If Romney loses you can't blame the Paul's in any way. They still blame Perot to this day for losing in 92 and 96. They can't admit it was there own failure. I think people need to think about the long term consequences. Look at what Buchanan did in 88. What he did is still be felt to this day. The evangelist still have a grip of the party that the old guard can't get rid of. Now look at what Paul has done. They will never be able to get rid of us. STAY THE COURSE.

I wish that was the case, but going off of 2008 results I don't see that happening.
Paul got 1.1 million votes in 2008 primary

LP + CP in the general got 723k votes (~66% of Paul primary voters)

Now, LP membership in in 2008 was ~250k, I'm sure most didn't switch over to vote for Paul in closed primaries. I can't find CP membership but I'm going to assume 100k nationwide (please correct me if you have the actual numbers) I'll say at most 20% of them switched over then switched back, which by reading LP press releases this sounds about right. I will also assume every member of this 80% voted in the general (I don't know what percent of the LP actually votes, once again please tell me if you know)

So 723k - 280k = 433k. Now, this number will probably be lowered once again since we can't assume all 433k voted for Ron Paul in the primary, or even voted in the primary at all. In conclusion, I can only say based off of the 2008 results that about 1/3 Paul primary supports will vote third party. I would suspect the number to be a bit higher than 1/3 in 2012, but definitely not 90%. Also, it looks like the LP and CP should more than double their numbers from 2008 in 2012.

I HATE how everyone so staunchly shouts no everytime someone suggests a third party run. If Ron doesn't run third party, I have lost all respect for him. He was my hero. My biggest inspiration. Unwavering conviction. Always fighting for the truth. Always trying to do what's right. I don't agree with him on everything, but I trusted him 100%. You're killing me Ron Paul. Nothing short of a third party one can redeem his lost credibility.

Get over yourself. The man has done more than enough, he's certainly done more than you. If I was him, I'd tell you guys to fuck off after how you eat your own allies especially his son.
