Michele Bachmann "Dr. Michele Bachmann" frequently lied about being a doctor, among other things

...For years the Republican presidential candidate referred to herself as "Dr. Michele Bachmann." The problem? She's not a doctor. And that's not the only detail from her past that Bachmann has -- to put it charitably -- trouble remembering. It seems, at least, that some of the things Bachmann tells people about herself conflict with what reporters have found when fact-checking the statements...

Seems she's quite the habitual liar! This article also nicely debunks other things she has lied about, like:

* Being a tax litigation attorney
* Descending from a long line of Iowa prairie teachers
* Being in charge of 23 foster kids at once


There is absolutely no way a republican like her, who has lied so much, can ever trump Obama in the general election. She has so many lies under the rug that the Liberal media will use against her.

It's not a terribly meaningful stat (because it depends on what statements they decide to check) but on politifact.com, Bachmann is far and away the least truthful of the Republican candidates. If you take the total number of statements evaluated and look at what percentage ended up in the 'true' half, Bachmann is way down at 28% with the rest of the candidates spread from 42% to 67% (Huntsman actually tops the list with Paul a close second at 64%). Anyway, even with the stats being shaky you can't get a score like Bachmann's without regularly making stuff up as you go along.

I hate to defend her but some states allow for those who have earned a JD to use the title of "Dr."
