Dr. Kurt: Why I Will Never Choose to Vaccinate my Own Son and Any Future Kids my Wife and I Ha

Ask Donnay, something tells me an anti-vaxxer like him would say exactly that.

I don't think ALL doctors are unreliable. I have already said in different threads my family doctor was a great doctor. He did not push vaccines, and admitted to me, that his children were NOT vaccinated. So from what I see here, in this thread, you pro-vaxxers would think my family doctor was a quack.

What I find odd is some people here that seem to hold the belief that if you have an M.D. then you are by default a competent doctor, but only an M.D. is qualified to make decisions for health based issues. In my opinion there are many good M.D.s and many bad ones and many mediocre ones. I actually like the approach of D.O.s a bit better in general. My wife uses a N.M.D. and has finally gotten relief from issues that many M.D.s missed.

I also know of a very good doctor in Phoenix that holds D.O., M.S., Ph.D, M.D.(H). but I suppose there are some here that would dismiss this guy because he is a Homeopathic Medical Doctor that spends an hour with each patient instead of listening for 5 minutes before writing a prescription for the latest, greatest pharmaceutical drug as a standard M.D. would do.

There are tons of great doctors out there and it is not the degree on their wall or the letters after their name that make them great.

There are tons of idiots out there and I don't care how many degrees they have, they are still idiots.

Conventional economics tells the public that Paul Krugman and Keynes are right and that Ron Paul and Mises and Hayek are wrong. I call bullshit.

My point is that there are many people that have found a better way than what is accepted as conventional wisdom and dismissing them because they don't have a degree from the "proper" school is foolish. I use my own mind and experience to find the truth as best I can and I know that Ron Paul is right and Krugman is wrong, regardless of Krugman winning the economics degree war.

If his kids were not vaxxed, he WAS a quack.

Well said. I couldn't agree more. A piece of paper doesn't define a person.

So you agree with me that there are quacks with medical degrees that can do a lot of damage, medical doctors that you wouldn't recommend and I would bet that these MDs went to medical schools right here in the good ole USA and got their degrees and licenses here is this 1st world nation. Are we not on the same page?

Sure, there are quacks in every field; including quacks in alternative medicine. TONS of them.

Alternative medicine that actually works is simply called medicine. Therefore, everybody in that field is pretty much a quack.

Pure gold! The central philosophy of conspiracy theorists and anti-vaxxers is that credentials don't matter.

You should go and do some research on the deliberate meddling of the Rockefeller and Carnegies in medical schools if you want pure gold. The medical monopoly (AKA: The Medical Cartel) was born.

And did they count the autism cases alongside?

Even the anti-vaccine quacks don't claim the polio vaccine causes autism.

But I think this is important to say: There is no evidence that any vaccine causes autism.

It's really not that simple. I used to think it was too, but I was wrong.

Quackery is defined as unproven or fraudulent medical practices. Anecdotal evidence isn't proof, as the MSG allergy syndrome succinctly proves. So with all due respect, I stand by my assertion.

So what do polio vaccines cause? Polio? Loss of freedom? Neuro damage?

People counterclaim that by saying, some alternative medicines and remedies have evidence, and SHOULD be called simply "medicine", but the mainstream medicine cartel deny and suppress the evidence, and therefore is unrecognized as it otherwise would be.

So yes, from a non-conspiracy point of view, it's either proven and called medicine, or not proven and therefore quackery. From a conspiracy point of view, there's proven medicine that's recognized, and proven medicine that's not recognized.

They say that, but can't ever actually produce evidence. Of course, there's a big conspiracy involved as to why that is.

Yeah, but the real issue is when their methods are proven not to work, and/or even cause harm, but they tout them anyway while simultaneously trying to scare their patients about the "dangers" of modern medicine. Collodial silver, laetrile, even pink salt.
