That is the problem with looking at open and close only to describe the market on a given day.

So much of the volume was . . . well if you watched it, you know.

meh.....i know im not right....but eventually it will swing up

I wouldn't touch mutual finds. And I think when it turns around, it will turn around fast.

700 billion will do that, I guess. :)

It seems that if the feds were going to start a rally, they'd start it earlier.

Of course, with bonds being off the table Monday, maybe they're hoping to lure some of that freed up cash back.

true that angeltac.....but the two stocks I have made money over what I payed......Wal-Mart and CHFC

My chart is shoing 6~7 million just went somewhere, should make some movement the way I see it....:)

One heck of a rise there.

I think a lot of people are putting too much stock (pun intended) in what will become of that G7 meeting.

(Then, when it flops, like everything else the governments do, we'll see the routine drop)

Good point .

Yes, the market may be hopeful of tomorrow's meeting . . .
I heard it called a "G20" meeting.

You're probably right. I'm just going by hear-say. The world leaders are supposed to meet to—hide under the covers or something.

EDIT: If you go to www.nyse.com, the home-page shows the DOW's change in relation to this morning's opening. Right now, its down 128, but by the time I click submit on this reply, my message will be old news.

Click on the DOW JONES IND and it goes into more detail.

Oh no, I believe now is the time to start picking up bargains, as long as you don't need the money any time soon.

A lot of people on this board think that the entire financial system of the world is about to collapse though, and if they're right the stocks might never come back.
