[Doug Wead] Shocker: Ron Paul and rule 40, the new Romney nightmare

Alright, that was B.S... He didn't drop it like you demanded he do, but a ban when you too were equally part of the argument is too far for me.

Go ahead and delete my account, please. I've given all I have to this movement, and I will continue to outside of this forum.

Admin, thanks gor giving me a place to hang my hat for a while. I'll see some of you at paulfest. If any of you need some transportation assistance once you hit Tampa, email me @[email protected].

Bye.

He had been given multiple warnings on other threads and in pms where he was pming me constantly. You and he were trying to use this subforum for something not its purpose, and he became angry and got out of line against me and other posters who defended me when posts were moved to the forum where they are housed on this forum. Your account isn't being deleted, but it is up to you if you use it. If you truly want it deleted, pm JoshLowry about it.

Here's the thing I think people of rockandrollsoul's mentality often times overlook: You attract far more flies with honey then vinegar.

Disagreements on the best way to promote liberty are going to happen, but how can one expect people to want to support a certain path to liberty when it is presented in such an abrasive and condescending manner? Someone who may agree with rockandrollsoul's position may be scared away simply because of how abrasive it has been presented.

It's one of the reasons the media is so able to take a look at some of the "fringe" Ron Paul supporters and label the whole movement as being made up of lunatics. You win the hearts and minds of people not by insulting them and "calling them out", but by explaining your positions in a respectful, cordial fashion. Unbridled pashion can oftentimes push people away when the real goal is to convince them of a certain position.

Kind of off topic...

What access to "The Media" would a contentious vice presidential nominee have?

Exactly. What good is a VP slot, when you couldn't spread a better message with $30 million, but you could help Mitt Romney "secure" the nomination? Attack Perry. Attack Gingrich. Attack Santorum. States against Romney. Not a peep. Act like they don't exist.

Then tell your supporters, "it was about more than winning, it was about spreading a message." RIGHT!
