Doug Wead Blog: "Ron Paul stuns in Arizona, upset win is game changer!"

I haven't followed the full thread but there seems to be a lot of hostility here, on Doug Wead's blog and facebook page.

I think Doug and the team are trying there best, if mistakes were made in the past which I'm sure there have been (and more will follow in the future) please keep it respectful. Don't turn on each other in moments of frustration. If someone falters the best course of action is for whoever has the means to pick up the slack and keep moving forward.

Nice work guys, very inspirational for the rest of the world that's following!

Seems like the campaign should be doing more. I know they probably don't want to rub the establishment the wrong way, and RP is a very nice guy and true gentleman who probably just doesn't want to make things harder for Rand in 2016. But seriously over 38$ million raised and has it been put to good use? Doesn't seem so. How hard would it be to send official campaign people to these conventions? If you want to win, fight for it! Romney camp obviously pays all its workers to try to sabatoge all these gatherings.

And as multiple people have mentioned, the updating on the campaign website is simply ATROCIOUS! Would it kill them to post something new on convention progress at least a day after it happens?

And while we are venting tonight does anyone know anything about/if Ron Paul is going to have an event/rally anytime before Saturday?? Of course there is nothing....zip.....natta on the "Official" Campaign Website.

He has been off the the Campaign trail 7 days now!!!! Very disheartening along with everything else being pointed out on this thread about the Campaign's Staff Performance.

I believe I saw that on the ustream (which by the way is a hidden story in all of this - ustream is much much better than twitter or facebook or anything else for live events.) . Here's a more specific question? what exactly was changed in the parking lot at AZ, and was most of what we saw at the end there about Karen Johnson, and that's it?
You saw most of it inside when we elected Karen Johnson from the floor. The "delegates at large" ballots were still being counted in the arena back room(no worries we had a ron paul campaign worker back there monitoring the count). We reconvened outside in a church parking lot where David Fitzgerald the new chairman spoke to us about becoming Precinct Committeemen ...he also mentioned that he thinks the GOP will try to invalidate our floor votes.

Collins is usually the lurker, but he is strangely absent recently. PITCHFORKS AT THE READY, LADIES AND GENTLEMAN!

Everyone in the campaign should be forced to follow this forum and DP. There isn't a better way to get information quickly. Interacting with some of the officials led me to believe they don't really come to either of them at all.

To heck with campaigning. If he shows up anywhere it should be at state conventions. That would get all our people to turn out.

Also, I understand the skepticism to some of the campaign's decisions, and the frustration with their errors. However, do remember that it's difficult for a small campaign team to be perfect. They don't have an entire establishment helping them out with information, loopholes, etc. I believe we need to make Doug a more frequent viewer of the forums. The grassroots forums is our quickest, most detailed, and most accurate sources of information in a large majority of scenario's.

But, there is a lot of everyday run of the mill stuff to sort through to find the "juice" here on the forums. I spend hours trying to find the MEAT. And, half of the threads end up in pages of arguments over "it won't change anything" stuff.

IF there were a forum subgroup that could stay on topic and give "news and info" then Doug could go there to see what's up.

(okay, ducking now) :)

Interesting idea. Maybe Dr. Paul should announce that he'll be attending the rest of the state conventions.

I thought we essentially had our minimum requirement of 5 states. Why is AZ a "game changer?"

I would be worried about OK, but the GOP in charge of the event really, really effed things up and it is all on camera. We followed the rules to a T and if they try to invalidate our results they actually have to break their own rules. Make no mistake, what happened in Oklahoma was truly spectacular.

Since there's good quality video, will the Oklahoma GOP establishment be held up to public ridicule and scorn? Then shame and possible criminal charges?

Ya mean no official campaign people attend these things? Mind boggling.

According to Doug Wead, who is getting his information from the increasingly incompetent campaign.
The national campaign has always been incompetent. Ive heard unbelievable stuff in how bad NH was run. Apparently there were some corrupt people who wanted power and may have been plants. Wh knows.

The campaign is busy playing footsie with the RNC while the grassroots is busting their collective nuts off in every state trying to squeeze out every possible delegate from the GOP's maws.

I can tell you the campaign has done nothing in Virginia. Its all grassroots winning these conventions
Considering they had the biggest opening ever there and blew it, Im not surprised. The only national campaign is Ron Paul, his driver, his pilot, and that short cut bodyguard.

I think the campaign is short for money compared to previously, and has kept staff going in the caucus states they targeted this whole time. But I don't think they were looking at AZ, a primary all or nothing state, etc. I don't think they carried it so far as 'which STATE CONVENTIONS can we win' and go for every single one. I was amazed at AZ. I never thought for a moment we'd have a presence like that, and I am thrilled with the grass roots there -- I don't think the campaign even had a person in the state.
Any national campaign could greyhound or caravan two guys anywhere in the 48. If I had a car and the time, (well I have the time, but no car), I would drive a parl and a lawman anywhere.

I think this comment may be some of the most important info to come out of OK.

Of significance in Oklahoma, the continual insistence by the Chairperson, (woman), for the credentialing committee of “doing business from the floor”, impeaches her position as chair of that committee. The chair of the credentialing committee is specifically prohibited from doing ANY business from the floor of the convention. For the entity that credentials delegates to “conduct business on the floor” of the convention is a sophomoric conflict of interest visible to any discerning parliamentarian.

As there was constant disagreement and conflict in every aspect and every effect of the continual question and resultant over-voting recorded as a result of the flawed credentialing of delegates as a result there was NO CREDENTIALED BODY OF DELEGATES standing on the floor.

Twisted and flawed mathematical constructs offered as “apportionment equations” tacked into the voting and ballot counting process were absurd and simply followed the logic of politically putrid math that any homeschooling 8 year old could see through in an instant.

For the chair of the credentialing committee to both forumulate and apply the math for proportion to a ballot is simply an absurdly OUT of ORDER procedure that completely impeaches that chair and all functions carried out by that chair.

To say that every vote, and the convention itself when evidenced in the interior of the building was SPOILED is an understatement.

Inside the building there was at no time an honorable chair of the credentialing committee and there was no proven credentialed body of delegates “standing on the floor” to proceed with the business of the caucus. There was no caucus in the interior of the building there was only a slap so mighty to our democratic process in this great republic that it can only be seen in the light of the communist sun shining from their flags.

Not for nothing but I couldn't agree with you more!!! I have been saying the very same thing to myself now for the last couple of months!! The official campaign website IS PATHETIC!!!! RON PAUL FORUMS should be the OFFICIAL campaign website!!! People get more info here then they do there by ALOT!!!

OMG :) can someone please draw a picture of ALOT handing out campaign info at RPF's?

Technically it would be illegal for them too...
