Don't let Palin win this poll! Vote Ron Paul (currently 500 votes below her)

hey, Ron Paul was in SC before the primary for at least 3 appearances in a week.
but.....
I saw him twice on the same day (on a work day). The first was in a bar/restaurant in Rock Hill where he was in front of a big screen TV that was turned on (distracting). The second was about an hour later about 10 miles down the road. He was in another restaurant and was in the corner with no lights on him (kind of standing in the shadows). Neither place was really "packed", and I had heard about both appearances here on RPF even though I'd donated and live not far from there (so I should have gotten an e-mail or call).

I walked away thinking "geez.. if that's how the campaign was run in Iowa and NH then no wonder he didn't do well there"....

He never got up to enough time in any of the states. It might have seemed like a lot for the average campaign, but in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina, people like to see their candidates early (like starting in a couple months from now) and often. Ron Paul didn't start until late the previous January, and he never got up to John McCain's 100 town halls in New Hampshire. He needs to do at least that in the year leading up to the election, with 60 days in Iowa, and another 60 split up between South Carolina and the other early states.

It says "Leader", not "candidate", so I voted Ron Paul.

But the GOP doesn't really need a leader. All they need to do is pull that pamphlet out of their pocket, called the Constitution.

Although the person who puts the constitution's words into practice has to be a leader of sorts.

While that's all good, I think Ron Paul through the Campaign for Liberty has been stressing that things have to change locally before they change nationally. A presidential race won't work until we have some weight to throw around behind it. Right now we should be focused on the much easier to win Congress in 2010.

I warned you folks and was soundly dismissed about Palin. She is going to be a nightmare if we don't soundly go after her with a formidable opponent. The Christian zombies will follow her because she talks a good game, but I think she is just as bad as Huckabee. She is manipulative and power hungry, and her followers are excusing every flaw...

A Presidential race is the only way to rally the movement. It is divided and lacks focus without a Presidential campaign.

True, if Ron Paul hadn't run before we wouldn't have the (semi) organized movement we have now.

And now that the media seems to LOVE Ron Paul, he might stand a much better chance.

If Palin tops all the polls, it shows who people want. If Ron Paul tops all the polls, likewise, it shows who the people want.
