Don't Help Fox Change Their Mind Before Iowa Vote, Do This Instead...

We cannot let Faux News exclude our candidate from the forum on January 6th. The mainstream media and of course Faux has been marginalizing our candidate from the very start. They try to belittle every single accomplishment we make. It's obvious they are trying hi-jack this election because they are TERRIFIED of Ron Paul. Lets show them that they CANNOT escape his message of freedom, small government, and non-interventionism by making sure he is invited to their forum!

It's obvious the other candidates do not want him included. They don't want a true small government candidate arguing against their big government anti-freedom policies! In my opinion, the most satisfying thing I could see is for Ron Paul to be sitting beside them at the "round table" holding them accountable for every statement they make! Can you imagine the shock on the faces when the other candidates realize Fox News was NOT able to exclude Ron Paul!?

This forum would give Ron Paul some great exposure before the majority of the early primaries! Also, I don't think Ron Paul has EVER had the opportunity to participate in a "round table" discussion. We CANNOT let Ron Paul be excluded from this brand new format. For goodness sakes, we have watched as they have "made" or "anointed" other candidates who have barely any grassroots support and have raised much less money. We have already been screwed by the mainstream media. Are we going to let them do so again by allowing them to exclude Ron Paul?

Lets start going ALL OUT to spread the word that we are NOT going to tolerate Faux News excluding Ron Paul! We need to keep the pressure on Faux by *constantly* send out faxes, phone calls, and emails!

There is contact information all over this forum and we need to utilize it. Fox News has pushed us around for too long and it's time to take the gloves off. We have played nice for long enough and now is the time for ACTION!

We cannot wait any longer. The primaries are going to be happening very soon and we need to send the message across the nation that the Ron Paul REVOLUTION is growing, we are unstoppable, and we are not going to let our candidate be pushed around and ignored!

WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!

Lets start sending out those faxes, phone calls, and emails!

Lets start sending out those faxes, phone calls, and emails!
Ron Paul would be better served, IMO, and FOX much better exposed, if we'd all start sending out those faxes, phone calls, and emails and much more, but all directed instead towards getting more votes for RP in Iowa in four days!

Nothing will prove better FOX's censorship to the world than to have omitted a candidate that did better in that election than some of the others they had included!!

Don't waste your outrage blasting FOX more, enough already have, the word is out, others will continue to but for the rest of us now instead please be strategically smart and shift gears to focus that wonderfully energizing righteous indignation on assuring Iowa is absolutely the most embarrassing upset to them as possible!

Re-direct your time, money, and energy, right now, towards helping Iowa primaries becoming for Ron Paul that historical and amazing underdog upset story of the year!!

Go search out the efforts being made up there in Iowa and see where you can pitch in and help them today...right now! And, make the same appeal to other Ron Paul supporters to maximize the Iowa effect, too!

That will slam FOX like nothing else anyone can do!!

I fully support this point of view in the OP.

FOX cannot viably explain excluding a candidate on the 6th while inviting them on the 10th, especially if they place in the top 4 in Iowa. If Paul gets ahead of Rudy and has solid double digits (perhaps even beating Mccain), then this will be a huge media story.

The event on the 6th itself will be low viewer stuff and nothing to sweat TOO much. The media buzz that would exist by then around Fox's excluding a "top 4" underdog candidate will be GOOD publicity for Paul... and his message.

Focus energy on Iowa.

You guys are delusional if you think that Fox news, or any other mainstream news channel will miss a beat if Ron Paul takes 3rd in Iowa. 2nd place is the 1st loser. 3rd place is not even newsworthy. Even if he takes 1st it won't be a big deal. There is no accountability in news reporting! Do you think that potato-chip eating FAUX news watchers are going to shit when they realize a candidate wins in Iowa that was not included in a forum days earlier? They probably won't even remember the forum!

As for the "competition" tearing them a new one. What competition?! There is as much competition between major news stations as there is between the Democrat and Republican parties. They are two puppets operated by the same puppet master. They are not going to cannibalize each other! The left hand doesn't attack the right. They both work together to strangle the people.

If Ron Paul does not appear in this forum it will send a clear message to the people of Iowa: "Ron Paul is no longer a contender. Don't waste your vote on him". This is bad. Very bad.

The vote in Iowa comes before the FOX forum and Ron Paul ever being missed at it. We need to assure Ron Paul does well in Iowa in three days, as that will impress more voters in NH and give FOX a bigger black eye for having dared exclude him. It's first things first, is all!

Focus on Iowa. When that is over there will still be time to mess with Fox EnMasse.
We do not need to choose here..

Focusing on Iowa...

For instance, RCA posted this on grassroots here...

Help Call Iowa--->for The Next 2 Days!!!
The Iowa Caucus could come down to a handful of votes, you never know!

You can request phone numbers of Independent Iowa voters here:

http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1362/

You'll see over there...

If you would like to help the Iowa campaign please consider volunteering to call the registered voters in Iowa. You will be provided with names and numbers of registered Iowans and given a script to work from.

This event comes after Iowa.

Everything right now depends on Paul's performance in Iowa. If he doesn't break double digits, the media will mock all Paul supporters and his message will be loss.

He should be able to beat Rudy in Iowa, since Rudy's barely campaigning there and is doing horribly in the polls there. That's one of the big guys he should be able to get ahead of in Iowa. Rudy is polling at like 6-8%.

Mccain & Thompson are both polling in the low 9-13% range.

Let's be clear... if Ron Paul doesn't hit the 12-15% range... Fox can laugh him off, and his momentum will choke dramatically and we'll see a New Hampshire surge dissipate.

If Paul pulls off a surprise surge in Iowa... breaking 13%... he can hit 3rd place which would be VERY big news. Fox will have no excuse to thus invite this guy on the 10th but not on the 6th before NH. Likewise, we can practically assume he'll be on ABC debate the day before. Pie in face.

It boils down to performance in Iowa and i think Fox will invite him if he breaks double digits.

I see that the Chair of the NH GOP has essentially asked for Ron Paul to be placed in the forum.

We'll see how much this changes things.

Protests To Be Held 12/6 At Local Fox Stations Nationwide

Ron Paul Grassroots Campaign News Release
For Immediate Release

On January 6, 2007, Ron Paul supporters will be protesting the exclusion of our candidate from the Fox News candidate forum debate. We will be protesting at local Fox TV Stations across the country and at the Fox Forum Debate location in New Hampshire.

According to numerous recent professional pollsters, such as American Research Group, Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg Poll, Rasmussen Reports, USA Today/Gallup Poll and Boston Globe/University of New Hampsire Survey Center, Ron Paul clearly polls higher than some other candidates, who are invited to the Fox debate forum. These polling results may easily be checked at http://www.usaelectionpolls.com/2008/new-hampshire.html. The exclusion of Ron Paul is not based on polling results or funds raised, which may in fact surpass all other GOP candidates. Final fundraising totals for Ron Paul have reached 20 million dollars for the fourth quarter.

The Fox Broadcast network has systematically excluded our candidate from their coverage. Numerous post debate polls conducted by Fox, have shown Ron Paul to be favored by most conservatives over the pro-war candidates. The Fox network is showing their obvious bias against a candidate that disagrees with their commentators pro-war stance. We are protesting, to inform Americans, that Fox is unfair and unbalanced. Let all GOP primary voters decide, not the Fox network. The Fox network is attempting to manipulate this process, by excluding a now top tier candidate, Dr Ron Paul.

Note to Local Meetups:

All local Meetup groups should setup protests at your local Fox Station on the evening of 12/6. Then, fax this news release with local contact information to all media in your area, including your local Fox station.

It may make sense to put pressure on some of the other campaigns, too.

There oughta be attempts to get one of them to speak on this issue of Paul being excluded in spite of his polling and fund raising. Maybe one of the campaigns will bite.

I see that the Chair of the NH GOP has essentially asked for Ron Paul to be placed in the forum.

We'll see how much this changes things.

Honestly.

This makes no sense to me. If they are truly "co-sponsors" then this is as simple as threatening to withdraw support from this event and broadcast. I find it insincere for the RH GOP to suggest they are powerless to impact this situation.

This seems to insult everything the New Hampshire primary represents.

I don't buy that all they can do is write a letter saying they are upset.

Is someone available to take Ron Paul slimjims and leave them in restrooms and at truckstops and at highway rest stops, and in hospital lobbies and public libraries all over IOWA ?? I did this 2 weeks ago for several days covering Davenport ,and Iowa City and all points in between. I went back 10 minutes later to see if people were reading the brochures,
AND THEY WERE READING THEM!!!

I am from Ohio, so it's not easy for me to continue doing this at this time.

Is anyone else able to help spread the message to the outlying areas of Iowa this way??

Ever heard of the Law of Unintended Consequences (blowback)?

With all due respect, I agree with Shane - other than a rally at the debate site, our energies are better served getting the vote out in our various states. Frankly, aggressive actions such as marching on and demonstrating at local affiliates is counter-productive, as it will only serve to anger entities that likely had NO INFLUENCE over Fix News' decision to exclude Ron Paul in the first place, and will likely result in LESS local news coverage of Ron Paul in the long run, not more.

Let's not cut off our noses to spite our faces here. We could very well win the battle (getting RP included) and lose the war (for local media coverage) in the process.
