With little attention from the official campaign and numerous other problems, most of us here in MI really only expect a 4th place finish. I'm seeing a lot of talk about third place, and that'd be great, but it's really unlikely. Having seen people throw themselves into suicidal moods after Iowa and New Hampshire, I just wanted people to keep this in mind. Marathon, not a sprint. If I remember right, fourth place is higher than we got in NH, we're making progress.

Yes, fourth/fifth place finish is the widely-held expectation. I suppose I'm a bit more of an optimist than others.

5th, 8%

Anything above that and we've shown improvement, in a state which has had next to no HQ attention or campaigning. Even holding firm is a win here!

My morale is shot to hell.

Anything lower than 3rd and I'm wondering what I'm going to fucking do. I'm saddened by the bullshit in the press, government, and the unwillingness for people to act more vocally against such things.

I don't want to be let down.

9th place.. I am going on Fox Polling

Yeah right man. We'd be lucky to get a place at all going by Fox news. We'd be in the vague 12% of "Other."

I'm hoping we get 4th because of dems attempting some sabotage.

We all want more, but a continued 8-10% range in a short 9 months (0%) IS a shock to the system. We've already caused irreperable damage to the machine so grab a beer, sit back and enjoy the ride!

Notice the particular ferocity of the articles attacking Ron Paul now? This means we've got their attention, and they pulled their biggest guns out, this early? They're scared that they won't be able to stop or sidetrack this movement in time.

I'll take 4th.

Its time to call all of your apathetic friends now.

Blackmail ( you have some photos I'm sure, and they're own only one click away from being uploaded onto the internet )

Do whatever you have to.

By Fox polling, not only will Paul score 0%, but he will actually lose points in New Hampshire and Iowa after today. :p

So far, at least 10 people I know, who normally would've voted for someone else, voted for Ron Paul instead. Turnout is light. Hoping this is a good sign!

Did my own Fox Poll

I just asked all 3 of my cats, who come from a variety of demographics, for a show of hands, I asked them "Who here voted for Ron Paul?" None of them raised their hands, and I even have a video of it.

You're worrying because it doesn't look too good that we'll win this nomination. We're fighting for the nomination in a party that clearly doesn't want us. Ron Paul isn't spending too much just yet, I imagine he's saving it for a third party run. He would do much better in a race where democrats can vote for him without having to switch over. It'll also give us a lot more time to make people aware of him (our biggest problem). But most importantly, the economy will be all anyone will be talking about come November and that should work towards our advantage. People will be forced to wake up, one way or another. We need to be there with the explanations, when they come a seekin'. Even if you're not coming across now, you've planted the seeds that'll grow when gas is $5/gallon.

Too bad this economic melt down didn't start happening (visibly) 6 months ago. Everything RP has ever predicted is coming true now...a few months too late for the campaign. Expect it to get a lot worse and not one good idea on how to fix it save RP who the American people are rejecting. Ironic.
