This guy must still hold one hell of a grudge for being fired! Actually, it's not a terrible article overall since Dondero doesn't completely hang RP out to dry but it's certainly a hit piece. Odd that the article doesn't mention that he's a disgruntled former employee that was terminated. Then again, there's plenty of anti-gay sentiment in the GOP that this may strike a positive chord with so ymmv.

Does anybody else find it incredibly amusing that the media is digging HARD for dirt on Ron and the best they can come up with is "He was personally uncomfortable around gays" and "He didn't want to go to war in Afghanistan because he thought the Bush administration would use that as a vehicle to eventually invade Iraq" (which is exactly what happened).

This is downright laughable at this point. :)

Just saw the HuffPo headline article. They are desperate.

The thing is that if the media continues to push this issue so hard that, if Paul does win the nomination, they won't have anything to throw at him in the general election. They're oversaturating the story at this point and relying on practically anonymous sources for dirt. That's a sign of desperation. The new focus group and polling data must be showing the attacks to be relatively ineffective. People tire of that sort of stuff pretty quickly and then the attack loses it's shock value. I know they want to try to kill RP's chance to win Iowa but if they fail, they've used up their last ammo.

Heh those clowns at HuffPo don't realize who they're quoting, they should do some vetting:

Actually, if Dondero thinks that Iraqi intelligence and Al-Qaeda were behind the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995, then maybe he wrote some of the newsletters?
He says that he's the one who sent the newsletters to the media:

If someone wants the mp3 of that Harry Browne interview (instead of downloading the entire 1.4gb torrent) then let me know:)

Did Dondero say he wrote some of the newsletters to Harry Browne or something?

In all seriousness, this article swats down the racism crap soundly, and makes Ron look even more prescient that he already was. This is an extremely ineffective hitpiece.

But he still manages to make some unbelievable claims.

This time its Eric Dondero not Eric Rittberg? He was Eric Rittberg when he defended Ron Paul back in 1996.

"Paul's aide, Eric Rittberg, said -- as a Jew -- he was "outraged and insulted by the senseless, anti-Semitic statements Mr. Morris is making."
