Over the past two weeks I've been on the road in New Hampshire and Iowa, covering dozens of Rand Paul events, in addition to the dozens upon dozens of events I've covered over the past year since his announcement in April. As we are now on the eve of the Iowa caucus, I wanted to reach out to RPF one final time to see if anyone is interested in contributing to continued photography efforts, and to help with some of the expense over the past several months. I set up a Gofundme where anyone can donate to directly impact my future coverage of Rand's campaign, and see a direct result from your donation.

If you aren't familiar with my work, here is a link to all my Rand albums: https://www.flickr.com/photos/gageskidmore/collections/72157622755879848/

If you'd like to contribute, here is the link: http://gofundme.com/drj6mg98

Do you want to donate with Bitcoin? I can give you my address.

I'm not sure if you're willing to setup a new wallet, but if he traded his Bitcoin on Poloniex for NuBits, the donation would sustain its full value even in the event of Bitcoin price swings. 1 NuBit = $1 and they've been perfectly pegged to the dollar since Sept 2014. I use them all the time. Check out more at http://www.nubits.com.

I don't even really know how to use Bitcoin. :p

I'm intent on changing that. ;)

Go to btce.com create an account, the only info you need to give is an email address. Its that easy.

Their web interface is very easy to use and hasn't changed in 5 years, simple and effective.

go to finances and "deposit btc" / "create new address"
then put address in your rpf signature like this:

Support my Creative Commons Political Photography with Bitcoin: jGuFjhgoUY55uigkGVo0HG

when I see a btc address in your signature line I will send you some magic internet money

:D

If you flash it elsewhere on the web, you never know... I might send you a bit there too.

At any time you can move your coins to a US exchange (such as coinbase) and cash out (this will require more "know your customer"), or convert your btce btc to btce "xusd" if you prefer to keep savings in "fiat" denomination. Think of btce as an anonymous checking account that you can only withdraw bitcoin from.

You can also spend your btc at tigerdirect.com on photography equipment without ever having to involve fiat directly from your btce exchange account.

Tiger's web interface makes it easy via bitpay. This computer I'm on came from tiger via crypto.

welcome to new economy
