Donald Trump on The Joe Rogan Experience 10/25

So, there's a lot to pick apart in this interview, but here's one that I hadn't heard before. Trump had a new explanation for his Bolton nomination.

He called John Bolton a "useful idiot", a "nutjob", but that he was good in a certain way.

"And every time I had to deal with a country when they saw this whack job standing behind me they said: ‘Oh man, Trump’s going to go to war with us.’ He was with Bush when they went stupidly into the Middle East.”

Thoughts?? It didn't come across to me like Trump was coming up with a revisionist excuse - it seemed like he was really using Bolton as a leverage tool in negotiations.

That was always my impression of Trump's actual use of Bolton. Then Trump could play good cop to Bolton's bad cop. But even in that interview, Trump said he didn't know how bad Bolton really was until after he hired him.

I still think Trump is turning the GOP into more of a second party than it has been in years.

:shrugging:

And the LP is a complete and utter joke after this 2024 debacle. I don't think it recovers, to be honest with you.

Yeah - that's Trump. But Joe manages to direct the conversation to lots of interesting places. It may be echo chamber stuff, but I'm pretty sure 90-95% of people who watch that will want Trump to win.

PLEASE let Kamala go on Rogan!!!
