Dollar Tree Sells American Flag with 61 Stars

I would really like to know where Hillary Clinton got that flag with the upside down stars. She must have had to have had it specially made.

Nice. So, territories and protectorates where the people do not have the representation in D.C. that we in the States do are states now. So, may we assume that the protectorates will thus be given more representation?

Or will the several States get the 'vice versa'?

Well I wouldn't have thought much about it:
paragraph (15) of section 2 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002(6 U.S.C. 101(15));
(14) The term ‘‘State’’ means any State of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Common wealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and any possession of the United States.
But like I said, he referenced this exact definition in his "council of governors" executive order:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/2010executive_order.pdf

Sec. 4. Definitions. As used in this order:
(a)
the term "State" has the meaning provided inparagraph (15) of section 2 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002(6 U.S.C. 101(15)); and

Which i thought was a bit strange for a council of governors to explicitly allow non-"state" governors. But then I figured it was a way of stacking the deck and getting around this little attempt at bipartisanship:
(a)
There is established a Council of Governors (Council). The Council shall consist of 10 State Governors appointed bythe President (Members), of whom no more than five shall be ofthe same political party. The term of service for each Member appointed to serve on the Council shall be 2 years, but a Membermay be reappointed for additional terms.

but its ok, since its not a flag anymore, but a patriotic banner.

The Chinese and Dollar stores are laughing all the way to the central bank on this one.

It's just more proof of the New World Order!

Dollar Tree slipped up and accidentally exposed our overlords' plot
to overthrow our national sovereignty and replace the US with the NAU!

I'm sure someone's going to get it over this one!

The stars represent the 57 (Muslim) states that Obama recognizes, along with 4 to grow on... ;)
[/url]

I always assumed he misspoke and was referring to the number of primaries- which includes DC and the various territories.

Those territories don't get many delegates, but every bit helps- which is why I wore my Ron Paul gear in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands when on vacation in 2007.

11 extra stars... let's see... New Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, Micronesia, American Samoa... hmmm...Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Wales and Ulster. Yep, they really screwed up . It should have 63 stars!

LOL this has to be a "cost saving" measure where a bolt of cloth with stars on it is just randomly cut out and attached to the stripes. I'm guessing that the people who made this flag didn't realize that there were supposed to be a certain number or a certain position for those starts, it's just "a field of stars" without too much significance.

Winner.

They probably printed a big doubled rectangle with 100 stars on it, thinking they'd cut it in half and have two flags, and have to print half as many cantons. Probably had something to do with the cost of setting up the printer with a different color, and the area it uses. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a mechanical process, using some plate printing tech, and it was easier to do one big one.

You can see how the 11 stars is exactly one white stripe, one red stripe, one row of 5 stars, and one row of six stars - which was probably the top of the next flag, due to a registration problem on whatever shear was cutting it.

Of course, the other one would be backwards, and I'd bet that them folks in China are smart enough to realize that wouldn't fly here.

But the bottom line is people are freaking out over a tablecloth.

Made in China is patriotism?

Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, The Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa are American territorys, so there is really no problem with them becoming States. Since they are all ready American citizens liveing there. Yes Puerto Ricans are Americans, hard to believe isn't??

my guess is that the buyers at Dollar Tree just saw "US flag" on the order form- And whammo-magic-presto we have a US flag selling in the US with 61 stars.

TMike

That's why I keep a copy of the Constitution in my shirt pocket. During the Pledge of Allegiance at all those wienie Republican gatherings, I clutch my shirt pocket and don't say anything. The damn flag is smoke and mirrors, a distraction from where we need to pledge our true allegiance.

Maybe the extra stars represent all the states/countries the US has bailed out via the IMF? That flag will need updating when Ireland, Portugal and Spain go knocking on the IMF door.

lol same with those trendy stupid yellow ribbon "support our troops" bumper stickers made in CHINA lol. you're not supporting any troops just the Chinese man in his basement or whatever making them AHH haha
