Nope
No, he just made it very, very clear. He wouldn't rule it out, and risk alienating the people holding out for that by making a public statement about it to the supporters. You guys need to read through the lines. He can't say it.
Until there is change. No excuse for the so-called liberty holdouts to continue holding out on taking over the GOP and making it the Liberty party. We are riding this republican car until the wheels fall off.
Dr. Paul is 73 years old. He has given his lifetime to humanity, in the military, as a doctor and in Congress. He is entitled to stop anytime he wants. He has done his part and much more. Then start bitchin if he stops...
No. He has always said he had "no intention" of running 3rd party and always talked of being a Republican.
even if he feels some party loyalty to the original republican party, what it has become is nothing he approves of and he hates how they treat him and his supporters
going independent would not be running away, it would be starting new.
possibly ending the two party system of america.
with all the money and support we have given him, i feel he absolutely needs to go independent and spread the message even more.
you have a black presidential candidate and a woman presidential candidate right now as front runners
that proves this election is bound to be different and do the impossible, an independent run would be perfect
especially with a mccain-hillary matchup. so many people hate both sides it might actually work
with our dedication i have no doubt we could get paul in the debates. he can take care of both hillary and mccain once he is in the debates. even if he were not to win, he would reach even more americans, furthering the reach of his message.
sorry to start a whole new thread but so many people here are just content with congress, but we could really use both right now. with the economy and everything, ron paul as president and commander in chief could make a huge difference.
All I know is, Im handing out slimjims at the Huckabee rally tomorrow and asking Huckabee why he is a CFR schill. This changes nothing.
Small chance at winning GOP vs No Chance of winning as an Independent, hmmmm
I'd say it's the other way around
then you haven't been around politics for very long.
He absolutely doesn't owe us anything.
On the other hand, if and when it becomes clear the Republican nomination is impossible, I'm going to still write encouraging an independent (not third party) run. It doesn't hurt to ask.
That said, if he is absolutely 110% firm on staying the GOP course, I will support him, and I hope all independent-minded people will do the same. Personally, I can't leap headfirst into a disgusting corpse party shilling McCain. But I will work hard on any campaigns of local Ron Paul Republicans I'm fortunate enough to get in my area.
There are no personal agendas here sir! Keep it in mind!He owes us diddly.
He's a Republican, not the pawn of our various personal agendas.
It is good to be nice!He doesn't owe us anything
How much I owe you. I can never possibly repay your generous donations, hard work, whole-hearted dedication and love of freedom. How blessed I am to be associated with you. Carol, of course, sends her love as well.
