USA Today Poll on Gun ownership

Obama's new Attorney General, Eric Holder, has already said this is one of his major issues. He does not believe the 2nd Amendment gives individuals the right to bear arms. This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court's accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.

Here's what you need to do:

First - vote on this one.

Second - launch it to other folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results get published.

The Question is:

"Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?"

Click on the link below and PLEASE vote Yes!

No. It's suppose to prevent the government from infringing on it. Words without backing are meaningless though.

No. You HAVE the right to bear arms! The second amendment guarantees that no (fucking bastards) will infringe on that right.

Pieces of paper can't grant rights, last I checked.

Pretty sure that simply existing grants me the RKBA.

I think we won (though the above posters make an important point..)

What's not important is whether AG Holder believes in an individuals right to bear arms. What is important is my belief in the individual right to bear arms.

Obama's new Attorney General, Eric Holder, has already said this is one of his major issues. He does not believe the 2nd Amendment gives individuals the right to bear arms.

The 2nd guarantees and protects the preexisting right to keep and bear arms from infringement by anyone, government or otherwise. It does not give or grant anything. Unless he is a wholly inept fop (which I doubt), Holder knows this and knows he is speaking truthfully. That many people in "the public" are too ignorant to know this such that they infer there to be no RKBA is perhaps something that our esteemed AG is playing upon for the sake of gaining support by said ignoramii.

Once again we see that the precise use of language must be carefully examined in order to see what the possible meanings and unadvertised motives may be.

The words are pretty clear and they state that it is.... besides no one getst he guns... and since there are a great deal of people that are scared of the so called "evil guns"... would it not be better to educate those that are frightened of these evil things and show them it is an inanimate object and can do nothing...

Nearly every state in the nation has something in their state constitution that says that gun rights are not to be infringed upon... and some states as of late have taken precautions to make the feds back off...

besides what does holder understand about anything... this guy is the worst AG I have ever seen..

I am not sure Holder is the worst. Janet Reno was pretty damn bad, and under her watch, we saw Ruby Ridge and Waco.
