Does Nevada Bode Well for Paul in California?

Californians are on average smarter compared to the rest of the nation, so this is a clear advantage for Dr. Paul.

I'm from Texas, and even I can admit this is true. lol

Anyway, this give rise to interesting question regarding campaign strategy: should Paul, for the most part, bypass mentally challenged states like Oklahoma and instead, focus moreso on states whose residents have higher IQ's?

Furthermore, even though it goes against his character, wouldn't it be prudent to subtly let everyone know he's Baptist in order to court some Bible thumping sheep?

*prepares to get flamed*

True, they have a much higher IQ level.. Compared to South Carolina, who's schools consistently finish at the bottom of the nation, Califormia looks like 37 million Einsteins

.

Having just visited, it's more like 30 million illiterate, alien peasants and a 7 million-strong indebted slaveholding class. A society is a reflection of it's people, and that bodes ill for California.

If there's any intelligence to be witnessed among today's Californians, it's in cunning short-term thinking. Unfortunately, as California goes, so goes the nation...

Ive seen lots of RP support in Los Angeles. I bet Dr. Paul will get lots of delegates in the big CA cities. San Francisco reportedly has lots of RP support as well, go figure.

But I think CA is gonna go pretty well for Paul.

If He makes takes the route of fear mongering He will do well. Americans are concerned about the economy first and the war second. Ron needs to make videos of people loosing their jobs and houses while fat cats get rich off the war. He needs to come off strong as the defender of the dollar and the defender of freedom. Plus He needs to show that he has been against the war since the beginning unlike all the other pukes that make money off of it. I think he needs to hit california and texas big time.

California is a socialist state due to the cost of living their the property is way to over priced. I would hit on their fears of a crashing economy and a declining dollar and that would bring them out in droves.... Plus maybe a video clip of Mccain saying he would keep soldiers in Iraq for a 100 years.

Right on. Ron's already got his message out there.

Now it's time to take the gloves off (see the Morton Downey Jr. YouTube for further reference) and do some old fashioned politicking.

Perfect example is Ghouliani's new tax proposal which would lower corporate taxes to 25% and extend and lower Bush's tax cuts for the wealthiest American's to 10%.

EDIT: And yeah, I'd make a commercial with McCain's 100 years war and the catastrope it would bring upon the economy. I'd also bring this up again during the FL debates.

Paul would do well to court people like Corridorwatch and other Anti Trans-Texas Corridor and anti toll road groups in OK and TX. He is the natural champion for that cause.

CA

Half of the Libertarian vote generally comes from CA so we should get 100-200,000 votes there + Dems & Repugs..Pretty bad only 13-14% of the under 30 crowd voted today. This thing is going to the convention!!

I think there might be some similarities in northern California in the mountains...I lived up in Tahoe for some time, and there is a strong conservative thread up there.

Count on McCain 1st (still ALOT of defense contract jobs here), RP 2d, Ghouliani 3rd. There will also be over 5% for Duncan Hunter. His son is a marine stationed at Pendleton.

Unlike northern Nevada, California doesn't have a large Mormon population to contend with.

Californians also tend to be more liberal and think outside the box.

And from what I've been hearing, Paul signs are all over L.A.

So yeah, I think Paul -- with enough campaigning -- and boots on the ground (read: precinct leaders), could take Cali.
I cant speak to LA but living in the sacramento area i can tell you I have seen nothing but Ron Paul signs and bumper stickers. If bumper stickers and signs are any indication noone but ron will get any votes from the area

I find it interesting that when Mitt jokes about putting another candidate in a choke hold, its suddenly newsworthy enough to fill all the tickers, but when RP calls a leading candidate out on keeping our country in a war for the next 100 years, the only way you'll find out about it after the fact is by watching a poorly edited video on youtube.

Tuesday, due to the holiday, but you must bring the registration form direct to the county. You can't mail it in time.

Oh, and regarding the prior post, CA is a primary, not a caucus

Ill be making a run to the registrar of voters.
