Does HQs Have a Response?

There is widespread frustration amongst the grassroots with HQs over the following:

(Just a few things that come to mind):

1. Doesn’t appear there is a cogent strategy for victory

2. Once it became apparent (via supporters/fundraising) that RP was a contender no effort was made to bring in a “top tier” campaign staff with the national experience necessary to mount a winning campaign.

3. Money & Time was not properly allocated to Iowa and New Hampshire.

4. Supplies are not reaching the grassroots! Signs ordered on December 16th (Tea Party) have still not arrived (even in early primary states like Florida). And there is no communication from HQs as to what the holdup is! (Order Processing Problem? Production Problem?, Distribution Problem?)

MY QUESTION

Has HQs ever addressed these and/or the countless other concerns we have continually raised?

Add to that precinct leaders not getting any information about their precincts.

what are you talking about? i got my precint lists. what other info do you need? all i need is a name and an address. I'll do the rest with my feet and my voice.

GESUS...

The CAMPAIGN STAFF's recent RESUME of PERFORMANCE to Date... NOW Qualifies ALL of them to work for FEMA or the STATE DEPT.

It's not that no effort was made, it's that decisions were made NOT to do so. Repeatedly.

With All the arm twisting in the world i have gotten a few of the lowere level staff to join 5-10 of us on a conference call Monday

The Top Level staff, Jesse, Lew, Kent are untouchable

I signed up Friday. I have no names in my precinct list. I don't know how many slimjims of what type to get. I've emailed every day since Friday and no response.

I think the problem is that they don't have information for Mississippi in their system. My sign in page has my city and county, but no precinct number.

The sooner I get this the sooner I can have my slim jims printed. I know that HQ will never ship them to me in time.

Yes folks, there are problems at headquarters. I know this is relatively minor, but still...

So I guess their jobs were more important then our success...
Lets face it, those armatures failed us, they knew ahead of time about the smear that was coming in TNR article- did they do anything to counteract it? Of course not. They didn't even have a press statement prepared...thats campaign 101 type stuff.

I'm in NY, and I haven't received anything from them, either.

well now there is time to regroup, and fix the holes, I spoke with several RP volunteers today from CT to VA, and I think we are all a bit disorganized. but organization can be achieved. We have so many who want Ron Paul to win. There needs to be a chain of command for incoming dirt and attacks and a format that can be quickly repeated, like "we have heard it all before" or Ron Paul was elected over 10 times, don't you think this stuff would have come out before this run..protect the quarterback RP. Town meetings, he should be sitting down with a glass of water at his side. What is the next most important thing we need to do in what state?

And has the campaign ever addressed WHY?

Is it their contention that they have the team in place that can win this thing - just give them time???

I keep seeing the same general complaints lodged against HQs - but I have never seen an "official" or "unofficial" response.

Everyone just has to keep speculating.

It's irritating.

1. Do you know who made the repeated decision "NOT to do so" (ie. bring in
“top tier” campaign staff with the national experience necessary to mount a
winning campaign)?

2. In the absense of such a qualified staff, do you know what the campaign's
real goals are?

3. What events need to occur to reverse this choice and bring in the "top tier"
campaign staff?

I would like to add the following questions:

4. How will the Paul Campaign definitively and decisively address the accusations made by the TNR article?

5. Will the Paul Campaign address the New Hampshire recount issue in light of Sutton County, which seems to me to an indisputable occurrence and a reasonable basis to ask for a recount?

There's a thread on here where someone called and HQ told them that they would not demand a recount, because there could be blowback. I guess their counting on grassroots to force the issue. Hell, why don't we all just run for President while we're at it. We'll call it Grassroots for POTUS.

I too have to say that the National HQ has not displayed much professionalism. My main gripe (and I've held this from day 1 and complained bitterly about it to this day), is that they fail to inspire, motivate, and communicate with the meetup groups.

I know that some will say 'FEC rules won't allow it.' But that doesn't explain the CONSTANT hiring of people that don't seem to know or even care about grassroots organizing.

Repeatedly I talked both face to face and over the phone with the top names in HQ. I'll even go ahead and name names. Lew Moore, Dennis Fusaro, Debbie Hopper, Jesse Benton etc. All of these people left me shaking my head wondering why on earth they at least didn't TRY to find out what makes the grassroots grow. Time and time again I heard them utter the most preposterous statements like, "We think the meetup groups have peaked and will decline (this was from one of the above IN JUNE!!). Repeatedly I've been at huge rally's and viewed the above named people sitting in private opera boxes and standing in corners rather than talking to supporters to get a feel of what is happening 'on the ground.'

I could go on but won't. I'm still optimistic that we can win, but if we do it will be in spite of our national campaign staff. I would actually applaud if the national campaign would fire someone. Anyone. Just show some of that famous free market mechanisms to work. They would gain my full support back immediately.

I signed up, I got 5000 names sure, and got a "do it yourself" kit for president. We got 30 days and I haven't even gotten an email. Nothing I'm chasing down people to get signs and lit. If we have to chase anyone other than voters we ain't gonna make it.

Could I have a list of anyone in my area that has contributed? Winning votes is hard enough but finding a single soul near me that can give a hand, now that would help.

No signs anywhere down here.
