Does anyone subscribe to Reason magazine?

May I ask what the concern for number of pages is? Short attention span? LOL.

Liberty and Reason are around 60 pages and The American Conservative is around 30 pages.

I don't subscribe but I read their article occasionally. I enjoy them. Seriously what is with the tendency around here to chastise other libertarians for not agreeing with us on every SINGLE issue?

On another note, anyone read the online Capitalism Magazine?

Thanks for the link! Top of the page....Walter Williams on health care. ***swoon***

Reason is a joke. I would much rather read some of the libertarian leaning conservative articles than the establishment-leaning liberaltarian rags like Reason. Actions speak louder than words: If you backed Ron Paul in the Primary and sacrificed your "good name" because of it, you shall be deemed trustworthy :)

Yet you have Jesse Ventura as your avatar. lol!

If Jesse wasn't high during the primaries he probably would've come around sooner, and he did speak at the Rally. This is opposed to tReason who smeared RP. Like I said, action speaks louder than words.

Some of the top Reason people defended RP on TV... Jesse Ventura doesn't even know what a libertarian is. When talking about "revolution," I heard him refer to some communists. o.0

You mine as well just read LewRockwell.com although I'm sure you already do.

But ya, Reason is funded by the wrong people. We need to support the right people.

I used to subscribe to Reason and thought it was a great magazine. I never saw them attack Ron Paul, but maybe that's because I didn't read their blog.

HOWEVER, if you're looking for a really fantastic liberty periodical, my highest recommendation goes to Freedom Daily, which is put out by Jacob Hornberger of the Future of Freedom Foundation. Hornberger regularly writes for the magazine, which is a real treat, because he's a splendid writer.

They're ok--though sometimes they stray from the concepts of libertarianism and into the shadows of libertinism.

I'd recommend CATO's journal over Reason...if you want read their stuff, just use their site (and watch their YouTube videos!)

I find taking a computer with me to poop to be very awkward.

Reason offers plenty of short stories and larger stories in favor of privatization. Some of the material can get pretty random (and libertine). I think there was recently an article about ideas having sex (a comparison to sex, I think - I don't remember, didn't read it), and then another one on weird porn or something like that- I don't like the stories that author writes generally, but I do very much enjoy reading stuff like Radley Balko's. Overall, I'm very pleased with the content for the price.

One thing to consider is that they're very... generous with selling your mailing address. I probably receive one or two mailings every month from weird organizations wanting to sell me something like religious education materials.
