Do you want to work for Rand Paul in 2016?

Wish Rand had been running when I was in college and had the time!

Is there anything us working stiffs can do in non-early states other than donate? I work in both TN and GA, so can do anything there but traveling to say, SC, for example, isn't possible with my schedule.

When Rand was running in KY I wanted to help but couldn't come up due to time constraints. Those constraints are largely still there but is there something I can do remotely to help the campaign either from home or in my two states?

I still don't know where I'll be in 2016. I may be at Patrick Henry, in which case I'd be in a heavily politically oriented college in Virginia. I have no idea what I'll be able to do at that point though. Still a long time away to me. That said, I'm not sure how much help I'd be anyways, given my personal style.

Virginia is a Super Tuesday state in 2016, you would probably be alright if you join YAL and moderate your rhetoric a little for campaign purposes.

I am at PHC now and our YAL chapter is not yet operational. Luke said he was going to try to have it up and running in the spring. I plan to join.

I'll campaign for him in SC. My college doesn't even have a YAL chapter but I've infiltrated the college Republicans.

I live in TX, but my YAL chapter is really pro-libertarian party. I'm not. Wat can you connect me with?

I'm trying to get involved in the GOP here in Florida, but with the schedule I have, it'll be January. Hopefully, doing some volunteer work with some of the candidates will help me out with the party, even if they didn't win. I'm not seeing the Rand supporters here in Palm Beach County. From what I've seen in the party, and that's barely anything, it'd probably be Jeb supporters, or Rubio if he runs. Know anyone in South Florida I may want to get in contact with?

How did you infiltrate them?

I can't really do that, everyone already knows what I believe.

I promise you can infiltrate. What you need to do is find one local Republican that you support (even if it's 80-85% and not 100%) and volunteer helping them. Walk in parades, make phone calls... basically just give your time and energy to help a Republican that you can stomach helping. The only person you're going to agree with 100% is yourself... and maybe Ron Paul. Don't let perfect be the enemy of the best.

Everyone here knows where I stand too. I don't argue. I don't try to sway. I just state my position and stand on my principles. The only way we'll ever sway them is to have a RELATIONSHIP with them first. It's similar to witnessing. ;) When you tell someone they are stupid and wrong, you don't shine a very bright light.

All I did was show up to a meeting and join the group. I'm hoping to influence people in the right direction.

At my college there are people with connections to the McCains that have important positions here (doesn't stop me from openly stating my disgust with him). One student supposedly destroyed the bumper of someone with a Ron Paul 2012 sticker. The ironic thing is this guy smokes pot and Ron Paul was the only candidate who doesn't want him to be thrown in jail.

A lot of people are just ignorant. Some people here still think Iraq was behind 9/11.

It wouldn't need to be 100% (heck, Ron Paul isn't even 100%) but we'd have to agree on some basics at least, and few Republicans agree with any of my principles.

I'm argumentative and mean;)

Well, not really mean. But strongly opnionated.

I'm willing to help Rand Paul out in Minnesota, but I'm not working within the Republican Party to become a delegate. I'm finished with the Republican Party here in Minnesota. Door knocking, phone calls, yard signs, organizing to find delegates, etc..., I'll help with those items but I refuse to participate in the caucus or their conventions.

Then you need to find a candidate and encourage them to run and help them. Or BE that candidate yourself. Depending on where you live you don't have to have permission to run as a R unless you are declared a member of another party.

I had someone ask me this time "are you really a Republican?" I said "I'm as much a Republican as any republicrat is!"

You don't say...

;) That's why I said it's like witnessing. You are not going to FORCE someone into wanting a relationship with Christ. We are just supposed to plant the seed.
Same thing with liberty. You can't FORCE liberty through guns or through fighting. You just have to plant the seed.

jjdoyle may be interested. lol

Had to :)

I'm in it to win it, not lie to supporters on a fake strategy or for the "future". So, if that's what they're looking for, and want someone to be truthful and not deceitful, sure.

My hopes and expectations of any accomplishment in a Rand presidency, are like I had for a Ron Paul presidency. Just a record number of vetoes, but my hopes and expectations are EVEN LESS for Rand than I had for Ron.

My asking price is at least $500K, plus expenses though. And I have a talking point that I would guarantee around $400K of my money on to change the course of the election in Rand's favor.

But, I'll just continue to vote harder, donate harder, and write petitions harder until then.
