Yes, a multivitamin. Supplements will only be of significant value to you if you have a healthy (alkaline) ph balance. Get some ph paper and test yourself. LPG is right that getting vitamins from food is even better than from supplements.

What are our ph Levels supposed to be?

Oh I guess I was looking under specials. The first link it clearly advertises it. The second link it is mentioned as well.

Maybe the sales page you are looking at has been updated? That's good because there is no way they could guarantee it is GF. Each batch could be different depending upon when the wheatgrass was harvested. The issue is cross contamination. That's why anyone avoiding wheat can't eat oats either unless specifically GF.

Thanks, I do see it saying GF. I agree, with cross contamination, that is definitely a factor.

"Human blood stays in a very narrow pH range right around 7.3. Below or above this range means symptoms and disease."

This^ Plus, if you use ph paper, it will come with a color code on the package so you can determine whether you are acidic or alkaline and various levels in between. (the strip changes color when saliva or urine is applied to it)

I took multivitamins recommended on the forum while on a multi-month ramen, potatoes & coffee diet. TBH, as anal as some folks get about meeting RDIs, I didn't notice much difference from when I ate... you know... food. Well, I did write "God Bless America" on the wall in my blood and cried when I ate meat, but other than that...

It is important to have balance. A highly acidic body will allow cancer to grow rapidly. An alkaline body, will help stop cancer cells from growing. A tablespoon of Organic unfiltered Apple cider vinegar w/ MOTHER before meals will help keep your system better balanced.

I eat super foods instead of vitamins. i will take a vitamin if it appears to me that I need a certain one foe a specific reason. I usually avoid a multi vitamin.

Truth. IIRC, scientists have been able to reverse cancer in rats by changing their diets and improving their ph.

All of the supplements I take are just whole, unprocessed foods arranged in a convenient format, with the exception of D3. This is the safest way to get great nutrients while limiting risks.

I take the following supplements regularly (I rotate between supplements so there isn't any one I take every day but I take something everyday)

Astaxanthin. 6 - 24 mg a day.
Natural vitamin c pill. Uses camu camu berry, acerola, and long list of other sources.
Natural vitamin c powder. This is simply freeze dried acerola.
Vitamin D3
Vitamin B Complex. This is just whole foods dried and packed together, by The Synergy Company
Antioxidant complex. Primarily tumeric, pine bark, and japanese knotweed, but it has a long list of natural organic ingredients. By Health Force Nutritionals
Omega 3 from fish oil
Chlorella tabs
Multi vitamin using only whole food. also by The Synergy Company
A raw supergreen powder by Sunwarrior
A raw vegan protein powder by Sunwarrior (I'm not vegan but this is a great product. It completely avoids soy)

Out of all of the ones above I would say Astaxanthin gives you the most benefits with the lowest risk. It is an amazingly potent antioxidant. It has been demonstrated to increase the skin's resistance to sun damage. It also protects the brain and the eye. Some hypothesize that it improves muscle stamina but this is speculative. It is hard to get in a normal diet with salmon being the only real option. It has no toxicity and is completely safe with no limit on quantity. Some will threaten that you will get red skin if you take too much but there are 0 documented cases of this.

I'm choosing to go with a D3 supplement strategy and avoid the sun like the plague. I've a few bad burns and am afraid of my risk for skin cancer. Most people who are adamant about getting D3 from the sun seem to have horrible skin, at least in my experience.

I take

Garden of Life Men's Multi
Vitamin D3
Astaxanthin
Krill Oil
Green Superfood powder

Vitamin D is a weird one for me. I simply can't take it, but my levels are below range. Every single time I take it, my bones start to ache. At first it's a little annoying, but then it progresses into very severe bone pain. If any symptoms can occur with vitamins or other supplements, then I'm guaranteed to get them. My natural doctor is always puzzled by me. lol

That means it is working, it's actually supposed to hurt a little. It's like growing pains in kids. I had a severe vitamin D deficiency, to the point where my bone strength was comparable to your average 70-year old. I had these "growing pains" for 4-5 months as my bones got built back up, then they stopped completely.

Edit: I'm 26, btw.

yup. One-a-Day Men's health formula.

That's better than the old non-gender specific multi-vitamins which contain iron for women, which is bad for men...so says Dr. Oz... ;)

Most vitamins pass through you. Unless you have a specific deficiency, they are a waste.

with mother?

The unfiltered cider contains the "mother of vinegar", this is the part that has the most health benefits. It's the good enzymes and beneficial bacteria in it that is living.

Here is some great info: http://www.disabled-world.com/artman/publish/apple-cider-vinegar.shtml
