I voted yes, but all the recent comments rand has made have made me a little queasy about him.

None of the No crowd has shown up really. I think I am one of the first that are super vocal about our displeasure with Rand. I will vote for him, if I vote for anyone; simply because he truly is better then anyone else at this time (still holding out hope that Ron runs again [not really, but I can dream]) but I will not be campaigning for Rand like I did for Ron.

He's still the most conservative likely candidate so far, so yes.

To be honest, he has a lot riding on this upcoming Foreign Policy speech, because it sounds like he will be presenting a case for what direction he thinks the party should go towards...will define what kind of leader he would be.

Secession will be the only option. Can you imagine what will happen if another Democrat wins in 2016? He'll be much further to the left of Obama.

or she, or Cory Booker. The Democrats have it figured out. The public will want to elect the first female president or white guilt will see them elect another African American, policies be damned.

The only thing that might stop it is the coming recession, it will be big as obamacare is implemented in 13 and 14 and by 16 the horrors will be there for all to see.

The current party has only won after 2 terms once in 60 years (Bush).

Yes, but let's not JUST rely on him. He's just one dude. One dude. We cannot rely on just him. He is not some savior.

We need a Liberty guy (like Kucinich) inside the Democrats. We need at least several third parties going. We need to start cranking out Congressmen. Local elections. We need to start running magazines. I'm through with this "mainstream" bull-s***. The World as we know it is changing forever.

We need to get loud. We have four years. Let's not waste a minute.

I don't agree with Rand on every issue, but I agree with him almost as much as Ron Paul. Yes I support Rand Paul. I can't wait for the caucuses in 2016.

Agreed, his foreign policy speech will likely cement me in one of several camps

1) unconditional support and aid

2) skeptical support and aid

3) vote for but not support

4) disavow and re-evaluate

I'd say the last is the least likely, because we don't currently have many better options, but this speech will go a long way in telling if he's bringing our ideas into the mainstream, or simply watering them down to make them more palatable. Like most of you, foreign policy is at the top of my list with just a couple other issues.
