Do you still support Rand Paul?

Do you still support Rand Paul

While I'm not sure I'm on board with his endorsement, it has not affected my support for him. Assuming his votes continue to fall in line with the principles of liberty, he will continue to have my support.

Actions speak louder than words. If he says the wrong words sometimes but makes the right actions, I'm fine with that. Much better than the other way around.

Reading the responses to this thread have made me the happiest little boy in the world. Good to see the absolutists/extremists are just a vocal minority, and that the majority get what it is going to take to see any real policy change in the near future.

I was praying for a 50/50 split before I voted.

You just summed up why I made the thread, I've been having angst about this lately and this certainly is nice to see.

I was mad as hell when he endorsed Romney, mostly because he did it on Hannity. But after a few days, I've calmed down. I still strongly disagree with it, but his record is solid. As long as he continues to vote against future wars, the fed, and liberty in general, I'll file this under "agree to disagree." Especially since I doubt he'd have done it without speaking to his father first.

... IF Romney wins, you can place some of that blame on Rand...afterall, some morons will vote for Romney because of this horrid endorsement.
...

IMHO, the number of people who will change their vote based on Rand's "endorsement" will be very small. If someone is willing to vote for Romney, they probably already knew that. The good old "lesser of two evils" rationale.

This poll make me happy. Rand is a good honest person who is trying to do the best he can to help change the Party.
I wonder if most people who support him have allways been Republicans?

Cooler heads will prevail. I expect more of the knee-jerk reactionary alex jones people to come to their senses eventually.

How is one side the "absolutists/extremists"???

Yes ------ 74 ------ 72.55%

No ------ 14 ------ 13.73%

Haven't decided yet ------ 13 ------ 12.75%

Other (Explain) ------ 1 ------ 0.98%

So "yes" isn't "absolutists/extremists", but no is???

BTW, I'm in the "Haven't decided yet". My support must be earned. Courting the establishment by endorsing a neocon is a dangerous game. Rand could be lost for all I know. I won't be following him, approving of his endorsement, endorsing or donating to Romney myself (like it matters). The honest answer is that I do not presently support Rand Paul. I hope to some day. FWIW, I do consider myself to be absolutist/extremist for different reasons and I doubt this poll could tease out an extremists from a dontgiveafuckist.

Ron Paul endorsed Reagan for '80 and '84 but clearly he had enough in '88. Problem: Romney is no Reagan.

I like Rand and am sure he will earn my support if he continue to do what he has done in the past.
