Don't avoid it in particular, just don't really consume anything that has it. If I do eat/drink anything with HFCS in it, whatever.

kludge, I hope you keep your arteries as clean as possible at least for your daughter's sake.

I don't avoid HFCS but we all should of course

Nope,
Have the stomach of a goat. I burn whatever fuel is available.
If I can get it past my taste buds I can burn it.

Table sugar and HFCS are the same thing. Both contain about half fructose, a poison that cannot be used in your bodies cells that only ruins your liver and makes you diabetic.

True, which I why I avoid both fructose and sucrose like the plague.

Avoid white sugar, hfcs, and aspartame like aids, herpes, and vd. I prefer guava nectar, raw honey, and stevia for every day use, but will go with raw sugar if those aren't around.

I try to avoid white sugar & HFCS, but at times I have to weigh the cost of alternatives against my wallet... sometime the white sugar & HFCS wins. I avoid aspartame like the plague because it gives me the runs for days. I don't drink a lot of soda, but Windsor Canadian Whiskey doesn't taste right without it.

I do cleansing regularly to offset the effects of HFCS & white sugar (and other toxins).

If you must eat fructose, or sugar in general, (I highly urge you not to) at least eat it with some solid food, preferably slow digesting food like protein or fiber.

So, like...bananas are a no-no? I'm aware HFCS isn't particularly great for you, but AFAIK fructose is the sugar in most fruits. Am I wrong here?

I eat paleo, but the fruits do have a lot of fructose... it's balanced somewhat by the fiber, but they should be eaten in moderation...

That works okay for me then, I guess. I don't explicitly eat a paleolithic diet, but it pretty nearly works out that way, since meat is practically all I ever crave. ;)

So, Im working with someone that prefers Brown Sugar over regular sugar in their coffee. They said that regular sugar tastes Synthetic. Any idea how much Fructose does Brown Sugar have in it?

Brown sugar is just caramelized sucrose, so it would be half fructose like sucrose.

Not the same.. Its processed differently and about half of all products with HFCS have mercury. Google for the independent study. Also HFCS turns off your 'full feeling'. Thats why kids can drink a 2 liter of soda and not feel full.

Since I cut HFCS out of my diet Im no longer snacking or hungry all the time.
