Do Not Launch The Blimp Until Complete!

I trust their decisions regarding flight safety and weather. But you don't need to be a pilot or a member of the organizing team to understand that the consequences of launching a half-completed blimp will be a few-hundred thousands dollar mistake.

The media isn't going to wait for the crew to find another spot. This blimp will get most of its attention on launch day, and if this is going to be a positive thing, it needs to be completed at that time. The media will have no interest in a follow-up after the second banner is put on just because it's what we want.

It's not hard to understand. If the blimp isn't complete at launch, it may as well not fly at all. It's only going to attract negative publicity.

That is a good point. It's going to get most of it's media attention on launch day and it will be really sad for it to only be half done.

Well, would you rather have a smaller audience with positive publicity or a large audience with negative publicity?

Heck, wait 'til Monday if the concern is about it launching on the weekend.

I think we are going to embarrass the campaign by launching this half finished. The media will focus on the short comes rather than what has been accomplished or really Ron Paul and his stance on the political issues. Which is really what we are trying to push out there with this blimp.

You screamed and whined when it wasn't launched on Tuesday....so now they are launching it and you don't want them to....Get over it....they can't win for losing with you guys...happily the Vast majority of the blimp supporters are not hounding them day and night, MOST of us actually trust that they are taking Everything into consideration and doing the best they can.

I think this debate comes down to people who really understand the Ron Paul grassroot campaign's relationship with the media and those who don't. But, it looks like their decision has been made, and I guess we will know soon enough the repercussions of it.

So many customers disliked the "Who is Ron Paul?" banner in the first place and now you want to launch with that alone?

Who is in charge of this operation? A locksmith?

+1 to putting the 2nd banner on.

you don't go out wearing only half a pair of pants (at least I hope not!), don't send the blimp out into the world half naked either...

Good, I'm glad they're launching today. Get the second banner on whenever, but for the love of God just fly the dang blimp!
